If you see the vantage point the killer had you’d see this was a professional hit. A very difficult head shot from 200 yards is not a chance thing. My feeling is that he was on his way out of the country or killed shortly after the murder.

In the prone position, with a scope, at 200yds is a chip shot
I know professional but I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps qualifying on the rifle range several times at the two three and 500 meter target. that includes sitting kneeling standing and prone positions
without a scope I qualified both as Marksmen in sharpshooter
you don’t need to be a professional they make that shot especially with a scope in the prone position
