Transgender Funeral Director Stays Fired

Harris Funeral Homes in Michigan fired its Funeral Director when he declared he was a woman and demanded to dress and be addressed as Aimee Stephens at work in 2013.  Stephens filed a discrimination complaint with the EEOC and last week a U.S. District Court Judge Sean Cox ruled in favor of the employer’s right to terminate this person’s job based on the religious beliefs.

  1. OFFS. I can’t imagine being recently bereaved and being further stressed out by having to figure out which pronoun to use.

    Maybe it could get a job baking gay wedding cakes. According to the gay community, there are crippling labor shortages in that area!

  2. The owner had to fire this person. The individual would’ve ruined the business and driving them under in no time.

    Who would want this weirdo touching their recently deceased much less have to deal the freak at the funeral?
