Rake them over the coals. Then go after the TV networks.
Good election strategy. With lawsuits hovering over two of his biggest media critics you can bet the lawyers are telling the publishers to throttle back on the attacks lest they bolster Trump’s contention that they lie and use unverified sources to blacken his reputation which would set them up for a massive judgement (massive because it’s happening during an election and could easily be taken as bad faith attacks to influence the results). The WP and NYT lawyers also have to worry about whether they get a Trump appointed Judge who follows the law.
