DC: The crowd erupted when President Trump took the field to conduct the coin toss for the 119th Army-Navy college football game on Saturday.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please turn your attention to midfield for today’s coin toss and welcome President Donald J. Trump,” the announcer said as he introduced Trump, as well as the secretaries of the Army and Navy.
President Trump is the 10th sitting president to attend Army-Navy game since Theodore Roosevelt first witnessed the event in 1901. Trump also attended the event two years ago, becoming the first president-elect to do so.
The crowd cheered again when the referee introduced Trump before the toss.
“It is our honor to have a very special guest for the coin toss with us today,” said the referee. “Your commander in chief and the president of these great United States of America, Donald Trump.” read more
The fact is many spectators of the army-navy game are veterans and associated thereof; of course they’ll love this president after 8 years of embarrassment
There was a game today? I was busy playing Where’s Waldo…a very good friend of ours (including several IOTWR’ers)has a daughter that is a MIDSHIPMAN and was at the game, so we were paying closer attention to the crowd shots than the game I’m afraid.
I see “Tuesday” was able to catch her in a screen shot and posted it on face book.
Congratulations to ARMY again…see you next year!
Meh. Navy still has like four million and seventy five victories against Army, while Army has… I dunno’, six, maybe seven victories against Navy.
Doc bring the picture over here we would love to see it.
“Upon the fields of friendly strife are sown the seeds that in other fields, in other days will reap the goals of Victory”( Something like that).
General Mac Arthur said some thing like that years ago
Go Army Well done
I love you all, Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard. and even the Marines.
I’ll never forget when the Marines were ordered to eat bannanas side
ways so as not to be accused
The Navy hasn’t won since they forced them to wear pants
Go Air Force !!!
Very moving experience…I bet espin cut’s that part out.
Go Air Force?…..
We got nobody workin’ the door? Just anybody can wander in here off the streets?
Saturday’s are open mic night…I’m on between the bearded lady #44
and….Aw hell…I got nothing…Is it too late to play the
Race Card?
The service academies play for the love of the game….as it should be.
America comes first….games second.
It was a very good game, no doubt, Doc! Especially for our mutual friend and his daughter. 😉
There was not a Dumicrap or Redumicrap in the stadium, they are all American patriots.
