Donald Trump’s newly-appointed communications director has quit after a senior staffer hinted he could be involved in a salacious sex scandal. Jason Miller announced on Saturday he will not be taking on the role of communications director, citing the need to spend more time at home with his family. Miller, who is expecting a child with his wife next month, was tapped by Trump to lead the White House press team on Thursday. ‘After spending this week with my family, the most amount of time I have been able to spend with them since March 2015, it is clear they need to be my top priority right now,’ Miller said in a statement. But the news came after AJ Delgado, a senior Trump staffer, tweeted: ‘Congratulations to the baby-daddy on being named WH Comms Director!’ Delgado also referred to Miller as the ‘2016 version of John Edwards’, a reference to the former Democratic senator who had a child with his mistress.
