Look how the AP spins this-
President Trump delivers on water pledge for wealthy California farmers.
Now the farmers are wealthy. Depending on how they want to dump on Trump, farmers are simultaneously being killed financially by Trump’s tariffs, or they are wealthy, (AKA evil) because they are going to get water instead of the Delta Smelt.

WASHINGTON — Hoisting the spoils of victories in California’s hard-fought water wars, President Donald Trump is directing more of the state’s precious water to wealthy farmers and other agriculture interests when he visits their Republican Central Valley stronghold Wednesday.
Changes by the Trump administration are altering how federal authorities decide who gets water, and how much, in California, the U.S. state with the biggest population and economy and most lucrative farm output. Climate change promises to only worsen the state’s droughts and water shortages, raising the stakes.
Campaigning in the Central Valley farm hub of Fresno in 2016, Trump pledged then he’d be “opening up the water” for farmers. Candidate Trump denounced “insane” environmental rules meant to ensure that enough fresh water stayed in rivers and the San Francisco Bay to sustain more than a dozen endangered fish and other native species, which are struggling as agriculture and development diverts more water and land from wildlife.

Those dirty rotten farmers in California, all are going to use that water for is to grow food.
Dimwits think it magically appears on market shelves by the food fairy.
Now we need the President to over turn the 55 gal per day limit for all citizens (except for the politicians, bureaucrats, illegals, hollywood, etc).
Bloomberg forgot that you have to have water in the hole too
I knew a water rights adjudicator for central Washington. He never let the sun go down on him east of the cascades. It used to be nobody who wanted to live much longer would screw with a man’s water rights.
There was talk back in the late 80s to early 90s of diverting some of Lakes Superior and/or Michigan to the western deserts and some to CA.
Apparently, it died out. But, something to consider if all else fails.
@ pianamusic: There was also a plan to send water from Oregon’s rivers to California that never got too far. We do. however. send cheap hydroelectric power to CA, at least until our idiot lesbian governor gets her way and has all the dams removed from the Snake and Columbia rivers.
Every spring states all along the Mississippi are flooded. The only people who are shocked and surprised are the reporters but I digress.
Every year we see aerial footage of 100’s of thousands of flooded acres and I keep thinking if there was just some way to capture all that water what could be done with it. I know if I was living in CA with more money than any Russian Czar I would have a thousand trucks with pumps sucking up the water and driving it back to my estate and dumping that water into a cistern and I would take 3 baths a day and do my laundry all off grid as I watered my almond trees. That if I was a Hollywood libtard.
If I was Gov of CA I’d be making friends with all the states connected and instead of building a highspeed train I’d be working on a pipeline to suck up all the flood water and bringing it to me state. Wouldn’t that be a modern wonder of the world.
I’m just dreaming- F Ca.
