Is Hugh Hewitt a moron, cheeto-faced, toupee wearing moron?
Here’s his exchange with Trump.
“Last night you said that the president was the founder of ISIS. I know what you meant. You meant that he created the vacuum. He lost the peace.”
“No, I meant that he’s the founder of ISIS,” Trump replied.
At this point the usual suspects went berserk, going off half-cocked, itchy trigger finger firing off a quick and unthinking “what an imbecile!!!”
Trump followed up:
“I mean, with his bad policies, that’s why ISIS came about. If he would have done things properly, you wouldn’t have had ISIS. Therefore, he was the founder of ISIS. The way he got out of Iraq, that was the founding of ISIS, OK?””
Here are the problems. They are twofold.
1- I am so sick and tired of NeverTrump defending Obama because they need to sink Trump in order to look like sages.
At any other point in Obama’s administration, whatever was said about him, whatever charge made, if it had a shred of truth in it it was used by everyone on the right as a hammer. Very rarely would anyone be an outlier and come to Obama’s defense. If they did they’d be seen as a pedantic prig and looked upon with the suspicion that they were possibly a RINO, or worse, a closet Obama supporter.
There’s a new standard now. Whenever Trump makes a charge against Obama or Hillary, even if it has more than a shred of truth in it, the default position is that Trump is an a$$hole and ersatz conservatives play the role of left-wing apologist.
We saw it when the right got the vapors because Trump charged that an activist left-wing judge sympathetic to La Raza, if not an actual member of La Raza, was too biased against anyone anti-illegal immigration.
This became BEYOND-THE -PALE!!!
When was any charge leveled against a left-wing activist judge out-of-bounds? When did those of us on the right start caring about that?
When did mocking a NY Times reporter become so egregious that the response was, “f@ck that, I have to have Hillary instead of this clown”? (And let the record show that the supposed imitation that Trump did of this reporter looked and sounded NOTHING like this reporter. The reporter wasn’t a spastic with spastic movements. It’s insulting to the reporter to start saying he was imitating the guy. Shame on YOU a$$holes.)
The right continually body shames leftists (See Rosie O’Donnell, Lena Dunham, Michael Moore, Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton.) The right continually pokes fun at Biden for his aneurysms, implying that they made him a little slow. The right makes fun of Obama’s stammer. The right makes fun of any leftists when we can zero in on a weakness, to isolate and ridicule. In fact, the conservatives have done it to RINOs, making fun of Chris Christie’s weight, John McCain’s short arms and Bob Dole’s hand.
Am I excusing Trump if he was actually mocking a guy’s withered arm? No. What I am saying is that the right looks hypocritical and moronic when they say, “Trump mocked a NY Times reporter, therefore Hillary in 2016.” It’s way out of proportion. It’s absurd. It’s seeking indictments, and coming up woefully short, in order to mitigate the guilt of ushering in a Hillary when the reason for doing it is simply emotional, not rational.
2- Trump essentially agreed with Hugh Hewitt.
Hewitt was leading Trump to the “correct framing,” that ISIS was formed by the vacuum created by Obama.
Trump said, “no,” and imbecile NeverTrump bloggers chimped out, because that’s what they want to do, oh so badly.
But what they didn’t realize, because they are essentially emotional dummies, is that Trump said no and then repeated Hewitt’s premise.
“I mean, with his bad policies, that’s why ISIS came about. If he would have done things properly, you wouldn’t have had ISIS. Therefore, he was the founder of ISIS. The way he got out of Iraq, that was the founding of ISIS, OK?””
Trump’s explanation, unpacked, means “Obama created a vacuum.”
NeverTrump got trumped.
Well – not only that, but obama has been providing training for them, funneling weapons to them, and giving them monetary support – WITH US TAXPAYER MONEY!! And Hillary is complicit.
They claim it was a gaffe. But what have we been talking about for the past 24 hours? How much Clinton and Obama are responsible for ISIS. Not whether they are responsible, but how much they are responsible
The subject would have never come up if not for his gaffe
Who gave ISIS their weapons? Who can’t seem to get the Peshmerga any weapons? Barry’s an active participant.
See? That’s hilarious. Trump said ” he’s the founder of ISIS,” was sarcasm.
Obviously, 0bama didn’t go to Nevada to start up the isis corporation and then appointed jihad startups in different nations, so in that sense it was sarcasm. We know this. But was Trump correct in implying he founded isis? Absolutely. And hillary was running ” isis Corps” as his SOS. And, well, Kerry is doing his best.
What Trump’s snarky comment did was bring up 0bama’s and hillary’s failures dealing with isis and accepting bribery from foreign nations. It’s all up in their faces now. They HAVE to talk about it. And for that, I say well done, Cheeto-King! lol
I’ve seen ‘Beyond the Pale’ popping up, since Trump’s supposed call out to 2A supporters. What it really means is ‘Just shut up, don’t think about, and vote for Killary.’
So Bush or Cruz et. al. would be losing with class because they wouldn’t be so uncouth as to place responsibility where it belongs, squarely on Obama and Hillary. They would be speaking Spanish or using their Harvard vocabulary which would be so appealing to the masses of unemployed beaten down potential voters, women and minorities.
When I see these giddy #nevertrumpers comment about how great it is going to be to see Trump lose by 15+ it makes me wonder why they just assume a Romney or McCain reboot was going to beat Clinton. Why would this election be different than the last two when you are essentially running against Obama 2.0. Insanity on display.
Trump is someone who points out stuff that PC people catch the vapors over. He’s blunt. Maybe too blunt sometimes, but oh well. It’s kinda entertaining, I must admit.
This info has been out there for 3+ years but the media would NOT touch it. Seymour Hersh in his book The Red Line and the Rat Line dissected Obama/Hillary’s operations in Benghazi shipping arms – despite warnings from DOD & other countries’ intelligence agents – to anti-Assad forces that joined together as ISIS. (recap here: http://www.foreignpolicyjournal.com/2014/05/06/seymour-hersh-links-turkey-to-benghazi-syria-and-sarin/)
Judicial Watch has been reporting results of documents and emails confirming ISIS origins and Obama/Hillary involvement but media ignores. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-08-11/trump-accuses-obama-being-founder-isis-crooked-hillary-clinton-co-founder
“So Bush or Cruz et. al. would be losing with class because they wouldn’t be so uncouth as to place responsibility where it belongs, squarely on Obama and Hillary. ”
YES!!! Remember Romney’s ads against 0bama last election? Have mercy. He barely attached blame to 0bama for anything. And Romney let 0bama’s people trash him mercilessly for putting his dog on the roof of the car when they went on vacation and we all know 0bama ATE A DOG. But Romney wouldn’t even defend himself OR go off on 0bama literally eating a fucking hot DOG!
obama ate a dog, you guys. He even read the book in his own voice when they did the book on tape.
But no one jumped on that during the 2012 race.
I’m getting mad all over again. lol
Ironic that ‘Beyond the Pale’ tripe. If 2A supporters took matters in their own hands, most of the court members would be looking quite ‘Beyond the Pale’ in a few days.
“At any other point in Obama’s administration, whatever was said about him, whatever charge made, if it had a shred of truth in it it was used by everyone on the right as a hammer.”
What?
We have a Senate Majority Leader and a Speaker of the House who both have given King Putt more than he asked for and have gone on record saying that they will not oppose him.
There’s no need to fear.
The GOPe have created their perfect candidate, Jebbio McCruzney, combining the best features of JEB, Rubio, McCain, Cruz, and Romney. What could possibly go wrong?
http://donsurber.blogspot.com/2016/08/introducing-jebbio-mccruzney.html
“Jebbio McCruzney,”
That’s pretty damn funny. But I didn’t see an image to go with the name. BFH, this deserves your talent.
–“Trump is someone who points out stuff that PC people catch the vapors over. He’s blunt. Maybe too blunt sometimes, but oh well. It’s kinda entertaining, I must admit.”–
I thinks it’s deliberate. You can’t gently implode a building or take out the PC culture.
‘Is Hugh Hewitt a moron, cheeto-faced, toupee wearing moron?’ A liberal tool and toadie, also.
YES!
Here’s the deal: Donald J. Trump cuts straight to the real point. He doesn’t do granular much at all. He gives you the bottom line and if you can’t track along, then too bad for you. Most really practical people with a lot of life experience and COMMON SENSE know exactly what he means. If your brain has been habituated to hemming, hawing, vacillating between two or three theories, or if you wouldn’t be caught dead having a hammer-meets-nail opinion, you’ll be left in Trump’s jet wash. Yes, he agreed with Hewitt, in essence, but there is a slight difference in the degree of obama’s culpability; the greater being in Trump’s description.
…so that makes #NT even bigger, stupider, dummies than anyone thought they were.
I hope Trump doesn’t allow the GOP spineless wieners to neuter him. We like his honesty, that is why he gets such crowds that the media hides.
The trouble with the ‘lead from behind’ president, is that he’s playing golf and jet setting, while his ‘army’ is floundering.
Trump may not always say the politically correct words, but we, the army can see him, right out front, leading the charge.
Lazy Brain Syndrome is a difficult thing to watch day after day.
In some ways a lot like Harry Truman, who would be considered politically incorrect today.
Hugh tried to minimize Obozo’s involvement in the formation of ISIS by saying he merely created a vacuum – a passive involvement. Donald corrected the record by emphasizing the BO was actively involved.
