Trump reaches deal with House Dems to temporarily stay subpoenas for financial records

DC: President Donald Trump’s attorneys have reached a deal with House lawmakers to temporarily hold off on enforcing the subpoenas for the president’s financial records, CNN reported Saturday, citing court documents.

The agreement, forged with the House Intelligence and Financial Services committees Saturday, allows for an expedited appeal schedule for Trump, who is trying to stave off Congress’ attempts to obtain his financial records from Deutsche Bank and Capital One.

  1. The Democrats have no legitimate stated purpose that I know of to investigate Trump’s financial records.

    Does anyone know of one?

In any event, if the courts go along with what is a simple vindictive fishing expedition looking for anything they can use against him, there is really no hope for our country as a republic and free nation.
