I’m far from a religious person and even I can recognize when Pete twists scripture to fit his narrative. Democrats are flat out lied to and lead to believe such lies. Christmas dinner I couldn’t keep my mouth shut and asked the only democrat at the table who she was voting for in the primaries. She claimed to have no answer, and I had to poke the nest and ask why she refused to consider DJT. She got very loud, hands started trembling and she read off a litany of MSM talking points while at the same time shoving food in her face. I very calmly stated what she knows is inaccurate, her biggest complaint was DJT lies at least 12 times per day. She jumped up from the table, got her phone and proceeded to attempt to prove her points. Her main source was Washington Post. I then attempted to state her source is bias propaganda and that’s when the top blew off. Without getting into all the nitty gritty (this post would be far too long), I tried to calm her down by suggesting we were discussing things we really have no control over and she should take it in stride (and accept Hillary’s loss). It was too late, my inlaws were pissed, my wife was pissed, every conservative family member was pissed off at me. Not because they disagreed with me, but because I went there – At Christmas dinner – and angered the only thing that could get angered. It was a disaster. In short, democrats ruined our Christmas dinner with only 1 of them present at the table and I took the fall. My wife still isn’t happy with me and talks very short with me. Not sure when I get out of the dog house, but this Christmas will be memorialized at Christmases in the future. I am still holding my ground and suggest I’m not the one to be pissed at, it’s the MSM and democrat “leaders” that created this monster. So far it’s not working all that well, but I’ll be damned if I’m the one who has to apologize for the out of control, angered, factually inaccurate democrat. Who invited her anyhow?

ECP, I spoke up to an aunt who was ranting against Trump, very quietly, last December and then one of my sons spoke up to her, again calmly, in July when she was ranting about how great socialism is. We both pointed out good things Trump had gotten done. My son pointed out that she has gotten to be a near millionaire using a capitalist system.
I got a call from 2 of her sons. Apparently she didn’t have the spine and we had seen her a dozen times during the summer with nary a word. My husband and I would be allowed to attend Thanksgiving but not my son. I was told my son had scared her an another woman whose son is dating said aunt’s granddaughter. I asked exactly what he did that was scary.
Talked politics was the answer.
I told those boys I knew their mother had been mad at me since last Dec. They said yes. Then I said this was about politics being allowed to rip apart a family. That it is another example of the intolerance of the tolerant left. I also told them their mother is nothing but a frigging bully and I’ll see them at my grandmother’s funeral.

As painful as it may be to deal with liberal and leftist relatives, it is detrimental to not support the life affirming truths of conservatism. Hang in there, you know it’s worth all the Hell you have to go through.
