Former President Donald Trump made a surprise appearance at “Sneaker Con” in Philadelphia on Saturday.
Trump took to the stage at the event, which describes itself as “the greatest sneaker show on Earth,” to launch a new line of $399 gold high-top sneakers.
The shiny gold “Never Surrender High-Tops” features an American flag on the back and is emblazoned with a capital “T” on the side.
They are available on a website selling Trump cologne and other Trump-branded shoes. The site says that only 1,000 pairs of the high-top sneakers will be made.
I’m happy with my Trumpy Bears but it was pretty cool to see the reception he got from the Sneakerheads.
I’ll pass on the gaudy assed shoes, but I’m still kicking myself for not donating less than $200 to his campaign in 2015 and getting a signed copy of “Art of the Deal.” He will still get as many votes as I can cast for him.
No thanks, it’d be a waste of 400 bucks for a collector’s item pair of sneakers that would never get worn. And in my opinion, they’re ugly. I’ll still support Trump but to me this is a bit of overkill.
I think he should start a go fund me account to pay off his legal bills and the bullshit fines and settlements that corrupt judges are throwing at him trying to break him.

I just finished my taxes. I owe the government (that’s me) this year.
I’ve decided to bypass the middleman (the IRS) and send my check directly to Ukraine.
Maybe they will launder it and kick back my share.
Gotta like his energy, I did not have Trump golden sneakers on my bingo card.

I guess he’s no longer bragging that he’s a billionaire this time around. Does Trump realize the situation he’s in is his own doing? It’s really circling around him, oh the web he has weaved. Call on his LGBT friends to bail him out! Pass the popcorn!
I think a good heavy-duty pair of boots that say “Lets Kick Ass” would sell better.
Robert Menendez should have thought of that instead of the gold boullion.

I dunno, Brad. The collectors market is very finicky. I see it all the time in the guitar market. Stuff that should be worth a lot isn’t and vice versa.
