Breitbart Politics- President Donald Trump ripped General Motors CEO Mary Barra for closing car plants in Ohio, Michigan, and Maryland, threatening their government subsidies.
“Nothing being closed in Mexico & China,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “The U.S. saved General Motors, and this is the THANKS we get!”
Trump said he would discuss cutting subsidies for General Motors in response to the news.
“We are now looking at cutting all General Motors subsidies, including for electric cars,” he wrote. The news sent General Motors stock shares into a tailspin, despite earning as much as five percent in trading after the closures were announced on Monday. more
Why does anyone think that taxpayers subsidizing any corporation is a reasonable idea?
“Speaking the truth in times of universal deceit is a revolutionary act.” Geo. Orwell
End NAFTA and put tariffs on Mexican imports, they’ll close the plants in Mexico pretty quick.
Yes, please cut all subsidies. Even to companies or organizations I may like. If they deliver a quality product, whether for profit or charity, they will prosper.
Threatens?!? DO IT!
I hope like hell this can be proven.
Deep State Watcher on Twitter: “🚨BREAKING: According to UAW leaders, GM CEO Mary Barra made the final decision to eliminate 14,000 employees after lobbying from former President Obama and other Democrat leaders. Citing the strategic midwest locations of the plants for the 2020 election…..developing https://t.co/iwkmXqIyYG” / Twitter

For the UAW to come out and say that there’s gotta be some proof. The UAW and Republicans are rarely in the same camp. Further more if the UAW backs Trump up on this it will be YUGE.
You know, I was wondering if she would possibly be that fucked up to actually do this. But maybe. Look at Jack Dorky from Twitter. He’s doing crazy shit that hurts himself. lol
There is a GM plant in Arlington, TX, that apparently isn’t being affected by this, but it has been in the past. As long as they are subsidized by taxpayers, I won’t buy their products.
If you want to see rapid advancement in technology, keep government money out of the research.
Stand-by for another round of “too big to fail.”
Nothing has been fixed since the so called “great recession.” Nothing.

Another report. However not much more reliable.

Brad, I’m going to go with the “where there’s smoke there’s fire” theory and believe it until it is proven wrong.
My 2008 GMC pickup has 325,000 and counting. Purchased prior to the bailout, I love it and have mixed feelings about the bailout, thought I would never buy another GMC but thoughts started to change about 250K with no problems.
I’m thinking another go-round for ‘Cash For Clunkers’ (it worked so well the last time!!!)
this time it’s Votes & Crappers … oops, I meant ‘Volts & Cruze’s’
… maybe a telethon …

I drive GM diesel 4 by’s. The Duramax is by far the best diesel engine on the market. If you purchase literally any other 4 by, your still buying a two wheel drive truck. Left front, right rear. GMC puts great difs in their trucks. I’m about do for a new one. I’m considering a Dodge. But for a comparable truck I would need to put locking differentials front and rear. I do like the solid axles on the dodge. They should have split GM up back during the crash.
GM: Increased imports from Mexico 26% last year. Lays off 15% of US work force this year. Coincidence?
BTW, the US imported more than 2 million cars and trucks from Mexico in 2017. Almost as many as US cars that were stolen and driven south into Mexico.
