Letters went out to tens of thousands of SNAP recipients in Michigan saying that if they are able-bodied they must be working 20 hours a week in order to receive food stamps.
In 2002 Michigan relaxed the requirements because the job market was grim. Food stamp pay-outs went up under Obama, the great black hope.
Trump’s been in office less than a quarter of the time as Obama and Michigan has determined that the job market is robust enough to end the 2002 initiative.
