Trump tweets support for Iranian protesters as they demand Khamenei quit

JPost: After denials, Tehran admits “disastrous mistake,” saying air defenses were fired in error after Iranian missile strikes on US targets in Iraq.

US President Donald Trump has tweeted his support to the people of Iran, saying “I’ve stood with you since the beginning of my Presidency.”

Hundreds of Iranian protesters demanded Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei step down on Saturday after Tehran admitted that its military had mistakenly shot down a Ukrainian plane, killing all 176 people on board.
“Commander-in-chief [Khamenei] resign, resign,” videos posted on Twitter showed hundreds of people chanting in front of Tehran’s Amir Kabir university.

This is the first protest since the assassination of IRGC Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani. Last November, hundreds were reportedly killed in protests in multiple cities across the Islamic Republic. read more

  1. Trump has always supported the people of every nation; sometimes he takes issue with their leaders.
We had such high hopes for the Iranian people a few years ago, but 0bama dashed them with his complete lack of support. They are even more motivated now, and with an America that supports them more fully.

  2. Among his many other talents, Trump has the gift of being able to get under peoples skin and drive them insane. He has both Palousy and the leader of Iran both in a psychological shambles. Best of all we get to watch!
