President Donald Trump has urged Senate Republicans to abolish Obamacare and reroute federal health care spending directly to individual Americans.
In a Truth Social post Saturday morning, Trump wrote: “I am recommending to Senate Republicans that the Hundreds of Billions of Dollars currently being sent to money sucking Insurance Companies in order to save the bad Healthcare provided by ObamaCare, BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE SO THAT THEY CAN PURCHASE THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, HEALTHCARE, and have money left over.” More
Funny, how senate democrats became a lot more agreeable on the CR last night after the President’s suggestion. – Dr. Tar
I don’t have Obamacare but my premiums doubled after that moron said affordable. Doubt I’ll ever see a refund of my premiums
^^^^ LOL, yes you do. You’re just to stupid to know it.
Watched the presentation about it today on FOX Live. The money that is to be used as subsidies for the Unaffordable Health Care Act is now to be given directly to the people so they can now ask for the “Cash Discount Prices” for doctor, medical and hospital services and no longer need to worry about those huge out of pocket amounts they currently have to pay before the Obumbles Care actually kicks in. For any amount of the money not used, it can be carried forward into the future instead of the insurance grabbing it all each year.
Cut out the middleman, fire the bureaucrats and government employees in between, simplify, let us deal with any doctor or hospital we want, no more out of network.
If they send this money “back to the people” the “people” WILL spend it. But NOT
on healthcare or insurance.
The dems were using it for money laundering.
“Redirect” all money away from the politicians. Defund Congress.
It sounds HSAish, not cash to spend as you choose.
I am all for it! Theoretically, ALL health insurance costs should come down.
Why hasn’t this Legislative Abortion been repealed?
The fact that it hasn’t been repealed, in its entirety, speaks volumes about the true nature of the maggots in the Legislature.
It was foisted upon America in the middle of the night by the treasonous machinations of Nancy Pelosi, Jonathan Gruber, and B. Hussein Obola (piss be upon them).

If only it was that easy.
With the current situation of subsidies going away on January 1, millions of families are going to be absolutely destroyed financially. Of course this is entirely on the Dems and on the intentional crisis they created 15 years ago, but it will hit Republican candidates HARD next fall unless addressed.
Best would be to pass a bill eliminating 0-care, specifically the healthcare requirement and also the minimum coverage. We were fine prior to 0-care, return to that, immediately.
Privatized healthcare with catastrophic insurance is the best way. It won’t happen overnight, but can be a reality in a couple of years. Massive healthcare organizations that currently bill 5x what independent doctors bill will be hardest hit – but only in their bonuses and massive investment funds. Oh, and the insurers too. Under the guise of limiting their profits 0-care increased them.

How dare they!?
Repeal Obamacare? It’s a nice thought, but it’s Too Big To Fail now, and then there’s the Uniparty. We’ll be getting AI Death Panels instead of repeal.

If The People(TM) would, just… (tweener girl-y AI voice) rather die… than do… i mean, allow to be done, for them… the thing(s)… who are we to get all judge-y.
Repealing 0-care could be done. It won’t be, particularly because Johnson and Thune are the GOP leaders, but it could be done. I could sketch up a simple bill that would do what I described above, it would be painful but manageable for the next year or two and then it would be the way it was always supposed to be, free market.
It would also require eliminating the filibuster – or, as I saw mentioned the past couple of days, simply returning to the original form of the filibuster, which was that the opposing party can talk and talk and talk, but when they are done it only requires a simple majority vote.
