Former Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (Hawaii) announced on Tuesday that she is joining the Republican Party, cementing her separation from the party she sought to represent just four years earlier.

    I do. I’ve been watching her since Obama’s first term when she accused our government of supplying arms to terrorists. She formed a bi partisan committee and flew over there a proved it. Remember that? That didn’t go over well. She’s a patriot.

  12. Although I have praised Tulsi here many times, I still have a hard time getting past this Re: Trump’s impeachment;

    “I am standing in the center and have decided to vote Present. I could not in good conscience vote against impeachment because I believe President Trump is guilty of wrongdoing,”

    How I get past this is to assume that both had a heart-to-heart chat and made peace, although I would have preferred a public statement on her part absolving Trump of wrongdoing.

    “She’s a patriot.”

    I think this is correct. Her instincts about American Exceptionalism, judicious military use, and avoiding foreign entanglements align with my beliefs and Trump’s.

    Although she does not get major props for leaving that nest of traitorous vipers known as the Democrat Party, she can be a valuable asset in his new administration. We need true patriots as our leaders.

On our way there we’re waiting to get into AZ to refuel. At least two bucks cheaper, plus Gavin doesn’t get it. So we pull in and moments later “Bronco Billy” pulls in. A full on wrinkled up old desert rat with his wrinkled up old lady. They were probably only 25. LOL. He’s got an old hog leg strapped on that I’m pretty sure he found laying in the desert. He noticed are Cali plates pulling in and says to me, my gun make you nervous? I pulled back my shirt exposing my fake pearl handled Commander 1911 and said, not a bit. We both laughed hysterically. We ended up pulling up into a parking area where the wife hauled out and we ended up talking for a good half hour. These peeps have checked out but still understand exactly what is going on. A picture would have been worth a thousand words. Sun fried Bronco Billy and his wife engaged with a Capitalist shop owner and his wife. And we were in total agreement. So cool.
    Second best engagement. We’re leaving our fav little 5 star resort in Scottsdale. It sits right at the base of Camel-back. A very cool place. So were talking with the guy hailing our luggage back about the rapid expansion of the area and I said, yea, all those damn Californians. He knew we were from California. And he says, yea, as long as they leave their damn politics back home. I’m thinking wow that’s a good way to get fired. The wife let him off the hook. We have an 07 FFL. We’re probably more conservative than anyone you know. At which point he stops the cart, whips out his cell phone and starts showing us how geographically diverse AZ actually is. He showed us a picture of him fishing in the white mountains at 8,000 feet with a damn rattle snake swimming past him. LOL. We told him we were looking at Prescott, he’s still emailing us contacts. Great people, a great trip. I love this country. I hope we can keep it.
