Tulsi Gabbard suggests Obama behind ‘Ministry of Truth,’ says Biden just ‘front man’

FOX NEWS: Former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard suggested that former President Barack Obama is behind the effort to establish a Disinformation Governance Board, which she likened to George Orwell’s famed “Ministry of Truth.”

“Biden is just a front man,” Gabbard said on Twitter Sunday. “Obama, April 21: social media censors ‘don’t go far enough,’ so the government needs to step in to do the job. Six days later, Homeland Security rolls out the ‘Ministry of Truth’ (aka Disinformation Governance Board).”

Gabbard, a Democrat, was referencing Obama’s speech at Stanford University last week, where he argued tech companies have a hard time moderating content on their own and called for more oversight. more here

  1. Hell, I thought this right from the git-go

And I’ve never been considered overly smart.

‘Ministry of truth’, I’ll bet they’re still laughing their ass off about that title.

  2. Of course, anything that doesn’t fit the Marxist narrative will be deemed misinformation. This is such a blatant attempt to circumvent the first amendment.

  3. Obambi? Yea, but there’s a whole cabal behind all the American ball busting. Cowards that they are, they’ll hide because they know what the repercussions will be.

  4. 0bama did the same thing when he was prez – what was it, Media Watch or something? If you see something say something. It was mocked relentlessly

  5. Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech. Of course liberals will argue that the Disinformation Governance Board is a creature of the Executive Branch and therefore there is no Constitutional prohibition, and the brain dead liberals (and John Roberts) on the Court may agree, but governmental action restraining speech has uniformly been declared unconstitutional whether enacted by Presidents, Congress, states, administrative agencies or the courts.

In a way, this effort to form a Disinformation Governance Board may have a couple of unintended benefits. First, it exposes the anti-freedom big government types for what they are – Democrats and acquiescing RINOs. Second, the argument that big tech is a private entity to whom the First Amendment does not apply is no longer a valid argument now that the Federal government has stepped in with its Disinformation Governance Board – thereby providing the government action which prohibits this type of conduct.

I’m actually surprised that so many people just accept that while the Disinformation Governance Board may be either good or bad – depending on your politics and whether or not your politician is in office – it is Constitutional. It is not, and Gabbard is one of the few politicians trying to do something about it short of a lawsuit.

  6. RadioMattM is correct … Obysmal is much too lazy to actually bother w/ machinations & manipulations. he’s always left the heavy lifting to others. remember him sitting in a corner during the bin Laden raid? remember his ‘above my pay-grade’ remark>

whoever has his hand up puppet Biden’s ass to manipulate his mouth has his other hand up puppet Obama’s ass … more likely a cabal of succubus’s & other imps & minions working at the behest of a multi-national group/society/whatever out of Davos
