Twitter Cannot Be Saved. It’s Time For Free Speech Proponents To Let It Die

At some point, instead of hoping the poison vine will produce fine wine, you just have to acknowledge reality and let it die.

Federalist: I had high hopes for Twitter under Elon Musk’s watch. After all, how could the tech giant get any worse after banning the New York Post, which was founded by Alexander Hamilton himself, for the crime of reporting on possible corruption of the family of a leading presidential candidate in the middle of a close election?

We now have an answer: by banning conservative Christians for reporting on the horrific mass shooting perpetrated by an apparent “trans” person who hated conservative Christians so much she stormed a Christian school in Nashville, opened fire, and murdered three 9-year-old children and three adult staff.

What happened in Nashville was not just another story on the news. We’ve worshipped at Covenant Presbyterian. Dear friends of ours work there, and children we’ve known and loved for years attend school there. We wept throughout the day on Monday, desperately praying and waiting for news of our friends. And when the dust cleared, and facts began to emerge about the demonic evil that was visited upon that school on Monday, we reported the facts about what happened.

One of those facts was that the shooting came just days ahead of a planned “Trans Day of Vengeance,” an event planned by an outfit called the Trans Radical Activist Network.

“I am glad I was in the Stonewall Riot,” the group’s web page announcing the event states. “I remember when someone threw a Molotov cocktail, I thought, ‘My god, the revolution is here.’”

Pictures of radical trans activists sporting T-shirts that state “Trans rights… or else” and feature outlines of guns proliferated on social media throughout the week, making clear exactly what these activists desired to happen. MORE

  1. Elon must tricked a bunch of gullible conservatives to verify their identity and pay Twitter for a blue check mark. I can’t believe how many people thought the guy that is in bed with the deep state, WEF and wants to brain chip everyone was going to be the hero.

  2. “Let it die” lol It’s a government program. It’ll never die, only get bigger. Don’t blame Musk, either. He found out too late what he’d bought into, and now he’s screwed.

  3. If you put a drop of sewage in a barrel of wine, you have sewage.

If you put a drop of wine in a barrel of sewage, you still have sewage.

The only way to salvation then is to dump the barrel, thoroughly sanitize it, and. ensure nothing but wine ever gets in again.

Anything else is a waste of effort.

  4. I was posting in late 2019 – Jan of 2020 that The Party was intent on seizing total control on the narrative going forward. This was apparent in their systematic shutting down of the public comments sections in every major local news paper across the nation. I didn’t know exactly what they were gearing up for, but I knew they had a major offensive campaign they were prepping the ground for. I do know today, looking back Ray Charles could see what they had planned.

  5. He has had 2 kids with Grimes. Any cursory review of her “songs” will tell you his thinking. If you are not aware of who she is, just look up the song “We Appreciate Power”

  6. It is a data collection tool for A.I. (GPS, Trends, marketing, intelligence etc)

it is a direct to public media & marketing tool for Musk. Apparently there is the possibility of it being used for TESLA updates if expanded

it was easier to buy than build from the ground up

it will eventually morph into something completely different

it is privately owned, not publicly traded & can message directly to Elon’s other products without going through AAPL, MSFT,GOOG, etc.

There is a lot of future potential that I have not thought or cared about. Hell, i still use a non smart flip phone all day long.

Elon’s main fights are against the other Tech Companies, not really governments. I’m sure he views political leaders as temporary business conditions.

    “SNS

If that was my wine barrel, I’d opt for burning it.

You can always get a new barrel. Not risking my life/health on saving some pennies.”

…its just an imperfect metaphor, but since we’re here, the Bible does support you in terms of wine…

“Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.”
    Matthew 9:17

…that said, if you scrape a plate into the garbage and the plate falls in, do you leave it, or take it out and wash it?

Kind of depends on how expensive and difficult to replace it may be.

Paper plate? You’d just pitch it.

Great grandma’s Spode china special for Christmas?

    I’m guessing you’d clean it.

…Things like the Twitter physical infrastructure could be quite difficult to replicate, and it would certainly be expensive and time consuming to try.

But it could ALSO be the only way to be sure old programmers didn’t infest it with worms and backdoors.

But sometimes starting over works. Lincoln when he became president fired most of the then Federal Government because he was sure it would be riddled with traitors. He then backfilled the positions with loyalist though, he did not eliminate the positions. It must have worked because the only real threat he had after that was a Democrat actor and apparently sleeping Pinkerton “security”.

Too bad President Trump didn’t do that, or maybe we wouldn’t be here.

  8. These things have to happen before our Lord returns. This is nothing compared to what’s coming. We are ALL weak. I know what’s going on and I won’t be a part of it. I won’t go along just to get along, that’s how souls are lost. It becomes easy to join in with them. Lott couldn’t do anything about the faggots that took over his city, the same as we can’t do anything about it. They’re protected and we aren’t. God will do something about it.

  9. How many Billions did Musk pay for it? Those old shareholders must be quite pleased.

I knew it was junk when I first heard of it around 2007 and looked at the way people were using it. Idiots.

  10. Musk doesn’t care if it fails. Would be just another tax write-off. But this will not happen anytime soon. Musk will lame-o it thru for 4-5 more years. It will die a slow death as new social apps emerge.

  11. The whole of “social media” suffers from the same disease. If you operate a social media site, and if you’re going to police what’s said there, you will be exercising a personal viewpoint in doing so. Therefore, speech at your site is not free. Quod erat demonstrandum.

Bring back those halcyon days of yore when there were 60 million blogs and their proprietors could say what they pleased. Ah, the memories!

  12. Not sure why Musk has been silent on this – maybe for the same reason he wore a satanic outfit for Halloween? But, isn’t that typical for Halloween?

It will be interesting to hear what comes out of his keyboard once he gets his head out of the sand.

  13. You guys seem to think that Rome was indeed built in a single day.
The virus & cancer was deeply entrenched.
The man has a lot of irons in the fire so I’d suggest patience.

Just imagine if those three slugs that were grilled a couple months ago on capitol hill were still in charge?
Anyway, he will get it turned around and making profit but damn, he’s only had a few months at this.

The conspiracy theories are funny though, so keep those coming…
I always need a good laugh.

    —–

    Garbage is not sewage.

You changed the whole thing with that.

Ya went off track there. Of course you don’t throw your plate away in that situation.

And a plate is no where comparable to a large container made for changing it’s contents and has a risk of passing on bits of sewage.

BTW, I always heard the passage with skins – not bottles.

It doesn’t mean much with bottles because they used wine skins to let it age and as it fermented it would bust the old hardened skins while the new skins could handle the expansion during this phase.
