  1. From AA — It’s really hard to say which is more disappointing right now. I think Trump got a pig in a poke. Sessions has been slow out of the gate and I don’t see him catching up. Then he’s got almost nothing to say about anything. I think Trump’s base needs some reassurance RIGHT NOW that these crooks are going to be brought to justice. We need real justice right now in this country. I think that’s a bigger deal than the opioid crisis.

  2. You keep focusing on Trump…..where are the rest of the Republican Party? It’s like on guy fighting in a foxhole while the rest of the platoon is in the mess tent whining about what’s for dinner….except for Gowdy, Jordan Nunes and a few others that might be working the supply lines.

  3. Yes, but the opioid crisis will always be with us. Until we get a justice system that works they way it should, then a LOT of the opioid “crisis” will also get prosecuted.

  4. How about you guys start one hour later so us on the wrong coast can get in on the show? You elite east coasters. Telling us all we need to know.
Some of us work till 6.PST. Or stuck in traffic.

  5. Dang, I don’t know. Now that we’ve got a Trump appointee in Justice (and that other idiot, Wray, now in FBI), it’s almost more frustrating.

Chris Wray said last week to the congress that he didn’t see any bias in the FBI. Argggghhhh!!!! AFTER FIRING McCabe because of …… BIAS!!

  6. Gowdy can not be trusted he is deep state. Look at his voting record, and who he is voting with. Snake he is. Why did he stop a freshman Rep from asking the kill question to Comey.

  7. From Twitchy:

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Minnesota Voters Alliance v. Mansky, a case challenging a state ban on “political” clothing like caps and T-shirts at polling places.
Minnesota stopped a man wearing a “Don’t Tread on Me” Tea Party shirt from voting, citing a ban on clothing with “political messages.” Now, it’s being argued before SCOTUS

    Justice Alito absolutely destroyed them.

Just how did Justice Alito destroy attorney Daniel Rogan, who’s representing the state? Elizabeth Slattery writes at The Daily Signal:

Daniel Rogan, assistant county attorney for Hennepin County, Minnesota, represented the state. When he stepped up to the podium, Justice Samuel Alito jumped in with a list of political symbols and messages, asking which would be allowed at the polls:

A rainbow flag? Rogan replied, “Yes, unless there was a gay rights issue on the ballot.”

    Parkland Strong? “Yes.”

    NRA? “No.”

The text of the Second Amendment? “No.”

The text of the First Amendment? “Yes.”

    Colin Kaepernick? “Yes.”

All Lives Matter? “Maybe. It’s a close case.”

So, a T-shirt with the text of the First Amendment would be A-OK, but a T-shirt with the text of the Second Amendment? No way.

It’s remarkable how badly Rogan fell for Alito’s trap. He was given a list of facially-nonpolitical-but-vaguely-political sentiments, and condemned all the conservative ones and okayed the liberal ones without fail.

  8. The Awan brothers (plus a bunch of their relatives in Pakistan) had access to the entire Democrat congress (probably the whole congress). They were also tied to money laundering using a car sales company as a front. There was also the strange laptop drop on the 5th floor of the OEOB in an unused private phone location. That’s when the D.C. police were called to pick it up and Wasserman Shultz threatened the D.C. police captain for not turning it over to her (because it turned out to belong to her). There’s so much there it stinks to high heaven. But we’re not hearing a thing about any of it.

  9. The Saudi Arabian government says it will build a $500 billion mega-city, with the goal of diversifying its economy to focus less on crude oil.
The project, called NEOM, will measure 10,230 square miles.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said the government will aim to make NEOM run on 100% renewable energy — a highly ambitious goal.
This month, the country started awarding contracts to build palaces there.

BUT…they can’t take any refugees!!!! Go figure.

  10. My reference to medical error deaths was supposed to be in relationship to national drug overdose numbers.

Medical error — of all kinds: ~98K
Overdose from most commonly abused drugs: 2016/2017 64K

Not saying drug crisis isn’t important, but there are other reasons people die. A solid justice system will eliminate a lot of the source.

  11. Did you guys know that Henry Ford built an utopia in the middle of the Brazilian jungle? He called it Fordlandia. I’m not kidding. Look it up.

Maybe a topic for next week?

  12. Mr. P. — There’s a lot of documentary info on YT, but you’ve got to sift through it. I think it is also mentioned in “American Experience: Henry Ford” (That an old PBS production before Ken Burns ruined the program)

  13. “I’d rather talk about the influence of California Surf Music on Rock. I can line up an interview with Dick Dale.”
    Yes to that!

Also just listened to the Dee Snider testimony. I was a Junior/Senior in HS in 1985.

Dee Snider definitely held his own. Especially when that asshole, Sen. Rockefeller questioned him after Al Gore’s stupid questions. Dee never mentioned Tipper’s relation to Al Gore, only her position in PMRC. Sen. Rockefeller tried to make Dee look like an ass by attacking Sen. Gore’s poor wife. What a scumbag! She attacked him with her dirty mind.

Also Al Gore finished up with telling Dee, “You’re right, it’s tough being a parent. It’s even tougher being a kid”…Not if you are a good parent, asshole! Typical cliché, sounds good, means nothing, liberal speak.
