Ukraine on Tuesday accepted a deal put forward by the Trump administration during a meeting in Saudi Arabia, in a step forward for securing a ceasefire and an end to its war with Russia.

“We’ll take this offer now to the Russians, and we hope that they’ll say yes,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters. 

Rubio, standing alongside National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, did not detail exactly what was in this agreement but said, “Ukraine wants to stop shooting.” More

  1. Not happening. Does anybody pay any attention to what Putin and Lavrov have been saying consistently for three years? There will be no ceasefire, and certainly not while Ukrops are still in the Kursk region, and Ukraine just launched 300+ drones into Moscow.

  2. Not only that, there will be no meeting between Putin and Trump. We just now turned the Ukraine money spigot back on as well as the ISR switch. Hate to say it but, but this is not going PDT’s way at all. And moar sanctions are a joke. We have no leverage over Russia.

  3. Turning the Intel back on guarantees Russia will not accept a ceasefire. I suspect Trump wants this to fail, either that or he’s jumped his own shark. If I were Russia I would say screw you and the horse you rode in on. If I were Trump I would pull our stuff out of Ukraine so fast, it would make your head spin.
