BigLeaguePolitics- On September 23, 2024, the United States Defense Department announced that the United States has deployed additional military units to the Middle East as a response to an uptick in violence between Israel and Hezbollah.
Major General Pat Ryder, a press secretary for the Pentagon, would not reveal how many additional forces would be deployed or what kind of mission they would be on. The US currently has roughly 40,000 troops stationed in the Middle East.
On September 23, the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, two Navy destroyers and a cruiser sailed from Norfolk, Virginia en route to the Sixth Fleet area in Europe on a routine deployment.
“In light of increased tension in the Middle East and out of an abundance of caution, we are sending a small number of additional U.S. military personnel forward to augment our forces that are already in the region,” Ryder stated. “But for operational security reasons, I’m not going to comment on or provide specifics.” more
Meanwhile in Beirut…

And according to Cackling Kammie “not one troop is harms way”.
Sooooooooo … whose side we gonna come down on?
“But for operational security reasons, I’m not going to comment on or provide specifics.”—–Major General Pat Ryder
Another Perfumed Prince of the Pentagon speaks “Specifically” of Troop Deployments and Naval assets being moved to the Middle East.
BUT, Major General Pat Ryder (another Biden Administration’s political Generals) denies commenting on Specifics, what a tool, just like the master word manipulator, John Kirby.
Rid the Department of Defense of all limp wristed political Generals who have no combat experience.
I have a friend who is deploying there in a week or so. But he knew he was going over there in June, so I don’t think these movements are tied to “increased tensions”. It has been planned for a while
How many of these troops have parents that work in D.C.?
Any?
Meanwhile, in the Gulf of Oman…
“The only U.S. Navy oil replenishment ship serving the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, deployed in the Middle East in support of Israel amid its ongoing war with Hamas and soaring tension between other Iran-backed groups, ran aground Monday off the coast of Oman. U.S. officials told CBS News national security correspondent Charlie D’Agata the damage to the USNS Big Horn was significant enough to cause the partial flooding of the vessel, and it was being escorted by tugboats into port for a full assessment.”
You may ask what a nuclear aircraft carrier needs an oiler for. The answer is that the carrier doesn’t need it, but its aircraft sure do. Not good.
And this is after 17 other resupply ships were pulled off the line because the Navy doesn’t have enough sailors. We are stretched thin and trying to do too much with too little. Israel needs to understand that before it gets itself into something it can’t handle alone.
another dei crew? oneof navy oilers was nam
repeat…a navy ‘oiler’ was named after harvey milk
Like, What for? What do they expect our troops to do? Take RPGs to the head by standing between the combatants?
The only thing the combatants could agree on is that US troops are just getting in the way. We could see both sides lighting US flags on fire and yelling “Down With The USA”.
