Turns out Casey, the guy that issued the decree, transitioned. He’s now Cassidy. (Isn’t Casey a girl’s name already?)
He says his 2 kids and wife are just fine with it. Uh huh.

Thanks for the update, Eugenia and BFH. I’m one of those that cancelled my Ravelry account when they came out with the Trump ban. I miss it, but refuse to patronize any business that actively hates me. I would be curious to know if this has affected Ravelry’s business. Eugenia, have you heard anything? I doubt it would be something they publicize, but it would be nice to know that their actions had consequences.
As for Casey/Cassidy, he/she/it makes my skin crawl.

@riverlife_callie I’ve heard it has affected the $ and the amount of traffic. There are 2 new sites that are doing well, Our Unraveled and Open Ravel. The yarn vendors who came out in support of Crazy Casey and hating on Trump are not doing well. I’ve been tracking a few and they have a sharp $ purchasing decline. Apparently some indie sellers and Ravelry were trying to bully the bigger businesses like Webs, Knitpicks, Simply Sock Yarn and Eat, Sleep, Knit. They refused to get in the middle of the mess.
The Casapinka KAL I was in has ended and all clues were distributed so I can now delete my Rav account. Can’t say I’ve missed a darn thing.
What;s really sad is Casey’s kids are only 8 and 4. I doubt they understand anything of what their father is doing. They’ll be permanently messed up.
