BERLIN (AP) — Hertha Berlin nodded to social struggles in the United States by kneeling before its Bundesliga home game on Saturday.

“We wanted to make a stand against racism,” Hertha captain Per Skjelbred said after their 2-0 loss to Schalke.

Hertha’s starting lineup linked arms and took a knee on the pitch, while Pal Dardai’s coaching staff, general manager Michael Preetz, club officials and substitutes took a knee off it before kickoff.

Germany, at least the western zone, was blessed by having to surrender to the Allies, particularly the Americans. They have no other issues to take a knee for other than the griping of likewise ungrateful multi-millionaire NFL players?

    WTF racism are they talking about? the only thing that looks like racism in modern America is bigotry against the anti-white male Christian. And that’s usually just symbolic (e.g. ‘taking a knee’)

  15. The pure ignorance that is constantly on display by the Eurotrash never ceases to amaze me. If you listen to them you’d think that American Blacks are being hunted in the streets by roving bands of the KKK when the truth is that the vast majority of blacks killed in America are done in by other blacks, usually over drugs, women or just something to do.

    But to be fair maybe they were just practicing getting on their knees to give their soon to new new rulers, the Muslim immigrants they’ve been so generous to that very special recognition of submission from one “euro-man” to their master.

Sadly, many things Europeans (and especially Germans) have always felt was the need to lecture America about such things as racism, gun control, abortion, homosexuality, gay marriage (in da niederlands we allow da homos to marry), drinking and alcohol (until germans became alcoholics after mandatory early retirement gave them noting else to do), and diabetes/weight issues (again until early retirement causes weight gain and now significant numbers of Germans are diabetic).

    Get off it you self-righteous pricks and take the log out of your own eyes because many Germans have told me what they really feel about the camel-smellers.
