UPS is firing 250 Queens, N.Y., drivers for walking off the job during a 90-minute protest in February.
The company dismissed 20 of the workers after their shifts Monday and issued notices of termination to another 230 employees, notifying them that they will be fired once the company has trained their replacements, UPS spokesman Steve Gaut told Business Insider.
The workers were protesting the dismissal of longtime employee and union activist Jairo Reyes, who was fired over an hours dispute, according to Gaut. The New York Daily News first reported on the firings.
Local politicians are threatening to cancel city contracts that give UPS millions of dollars in breaks on parking fines. UPS fired back that it might need to terminate additional employees if the city alters its contract.
And no word on the reason for the dispute. The media is just awful at their job.
Now should they be members of the USPS, Eric “The Red” Holder would be shuffling the members around in order to protect the alleged dealing he says is going on. Try running guns. That seemed to work well.

I was a UPS driver once. I hated it. 130 degree truck temps in the summer and an icebox in the winter. No radio, no power steering, heavy clutch.
I got paid well relative to most other occupations, but I often wonder if I would have gotten paid more if the company didn’t have to deal with the union thuggery.
One thing I learned in my 16 years of dealing with the public was that 7 out of 10 people I dealt with were pretty ignorant on even something as simple as signing ones name.
Trust me when I say the country is a tinderbox of stupidity that was just waiting for a flamer like Obama to come along and burn it down.
Believe me when I say this country is in deep, deep fecal matter.

I don’t know the truth about the area, but I would guess there are 1000 people out of work who would love a pussy UPS job for the money they pay for each of the tossed out union losers who illegally walked off the job.
