VA becomes first government agency to mandate vaccines for its frontline workers

Just The News: The Department of Veterans Affairs will require all 115,000 of its frontline health care workers to receive coronavirus vaccines over the next eight weeks, becoming the first federal agency to insist that its employees be immunized.

The mandate arrives as concern mounts that the unvaccinated faction of the U.S. population is contributing to the spread of the fast-moving delta variant os the virus. It will apply to employees of the agency including doctors, dentists, nurses, physician assistants and a number of specialists.  MORE

  3. Well, on the bright side, this ought to jump-start the legal challenges over the concept of mandatory vaccines. Wish I had more faith in the legal system at this point, but here we are…

  4. …and I cant speak to VA hospitals now, but back a couple decades ago when I ran patients to them in the Little Red Truck under an ealier Democrat administration, they SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKED.

….they never even wanted to ACCEPT emergent patients, they were callous and inattentive to them when forced to, they didnt work and play well with ANY outside agencies including mine, they werent very clean which is EXTRA odd considering that they were never noticeably busy because they turned patients away, and I cant tell you WHAT a VA doctor was like because I NEVER EVER saw one in their ER, not ONCE.

…they were OK other than that, I guess, but based on stuff other people have told me that use their facilities and published stories, it doesnt really sound like things have changed much, other than them being bigger cowards now…

  5. Well big picture is it’s still about institutional control over the serfs. Ninja fucking mind games. AKA Social Engineering. If the could refute the claims of false information they would. They haven’t and they can’t. When’s the last time you heard of someone catching the flu? Some one correctly mentioned in a previous thread that this is the hill to die on for many conservatives. I fit in that category. Just pushing to damn hard.

  6. Brad and jellybean–

I’ve already decided–it IS the hill to die on, for me. For many reasons, not least of which is the serious aspect of the Mark of the Beast.

  7. Well I was supposed to be off the grid all of this week and in scout camp, but here I am heading home.
All was fine when we arrived, but an hour later they told everyone to mask up (even outdoors). Turns out a scout from last week’s camp was just diagnosed with the scary disease. Ultimately, since some of the camp staff were not vaxed they had to leave (maybe quarantine).
Upshot is that we are all upset, but some think that vax should have been mandated for all camp staff, including teens. Not me.
BTW going to this camp was the sole reason for my getting vaxed, I decided that I was willing to do it to go, and didn’t want to fight or lie to the scoutmaster who insisted on it for all adults (and pushed it for the kids despite my reasoned objections). Oh well.
