[Tyler] Leibfried, 30, of Hermantown, is believed to be the first area officer to stand trial for an on-duty shooting. He faced counts of second-degree assault and reckless discharge of a firearm that endangers the safety of others for shooting an unarmed man, Jared Fyle, during a domestic disturbance call at the Kingsley Heights Apartments, 105 W.   1. I watched the local news report again. What the officer thought were shots going off in their direction was actually the person behind the door with an ax striking the door with the blunt end.

    Since when is holding an ax and swinging it hard enough to sound like gunshots going off “unarmed?”

    You have to be a pretty gutless worm to shoot a guy through HIS OWN DOOR!
    That acquittal is a slap in the face of every American.
