‘Very secretive’: Hidden coronavirus ‘disaster’ brewing in Syria

WaEx: Syrian dictator Bashar Assad is allowing a “disastrous” coronavirus outbreak to fester due to his dependence on stricken Iran to win the long-running civil war, according to local reports and international observers.

“It’s very secretive,” MedGlobal founder Zaher Sahloul told the Washington Examiner. “If the epidemic spread in Syria it would be disastrous, especially in the northwest.”

Sahloul, a U.S.-based doctor whose organization provides aid to civilians affected by the conflict, said that a prominent Syrian doctor revealed a case had been confirmed in a major Damascus hospital and then recanted after being detained by the regime. The MedGlobal founder thinks there could be 2,400 coronavirus cases that are currently being hidden by the regime.

“Their thinking within the regime is that, if they volunteer this information, then that puts them under more pressure from their supporters,” he said. “There is all this pattern in Syria of covering up these issues or delaying the information until it gets out of control.” read more

  1. We should have never allowed so much dependence on China for anything. Maybe this is a good thing that has happened to the world. Depending on 1 country for your needs is not wise. Trump will take care of it. He’ll get blowback from the Dims, but I think the country will be behind Trump on this.

  5. My daughter and I just got back from grocery shopping at Winco this morning. I have never experienced such a somber almost death like atmosphere grocery shopping ever before. Most all of the produce was cleared out as was just about all the chicken and other aisles were bare as well. It was totally surreal seeing people buying gigantic amounts of groceries of which a lot will go to waste. It brought my daughter to tears. I was totally flabbergasted and disgusted and it looks like Winco’s supply chain may be down till the end of April as well. We also went to Trader Joe’s and it was business as usual with music even playing in the background and an upbeat atmosphere and fully stocked shelves. Going to Winco this morning the atmosphere was quiet and subdued, very little talking and a total Debbie Downer atmosphere prevailing over the entire store, it was like someone or something had just died. I am also extremely glad that President Trump is calling is for tomorrow Sunday Mar. 15 to be a national day of prayer. We need all of God’s help right now to sort this whole mess out before it gets blown out of proportion and far worse. I will be praying while I am delivering flowers tomorrow over in Montana.

  6. “Wuhan Flu will break globalism’s back.”

    Don’t bet on it.

More likely it will give an excuse to remove the velvet glove from the iron fist of globalism because people driven by fear and believing there is a crisis will accept it instead of rejecting it.

Time to reread The Art of War and look at the situation developing in light of the strategies there and watch who looks like they are using them and who is just reacting to them.
