VIDEO: Student says TX teacher forced 7th graders to deny God is real, or take a failing grade

EAG- KATY, Texas – A Texas seventh-grader is standing up for her religious beliefs after she alleges her teacher forced students to deny that God is real, and threatened them with failing grades if they don’t agree.

Jordan Wooley, a seventh grade student at West Memorial Junior High School in the Katy Independent School District, testified at a school board meeting last night about an assignment in her reading class that caused a serious controversy, and expressed frustration about her teacher’s atheist indoctrination.

“Today I was given an assignment in school that questioned my faith and told me that God was not real. Our teacher had started off saying that the assignment had been giving problems all day. We were asked to take a poll to say whether God is fact, opinion or a myth and she told anyone who said fact or opinion was wrong and God was only a myth,” Wooley told board members.  more here

  1. Before any school teacher or collage professor tries to force anyone to not believe in God they should be able to prove there is no God. belief in God is just that “belief”. belief in the nonexistence of God is just that “belief”. to prove God does or does not exist is impossible. faith in God is for the believer evidence in itself. personally I don’t know how anyone could not believe in God. but when it comes to teaching teach what you can prove or lose your teaching job! teach what you can prove not what you believe.

  2. There is proof of God everywhere. We know atheists believe everything came from nothing, and we also know that’s impossible. There is a creator with a purpose, to deny it has consequences.

  3. I’d take the failing grade. God is real, made up excuses to not believe in God or deny him are not. This teacher should also realize that they’ll never be able to fully kick God out of public schools because of tests. But I’d be willing to bet if they made fun of Allah and pisslam the teacher and the kid would get a pass.

  4. As a Katy resident for some forty years with a wife and an ex-wife working in KISD I can assure you this action was an individual decision by the teacher. It is not school or district policy. The teacher herself is responsible for her lesson plans. The personnel department will take appropriate actions after a full investigation is done.

  5. Leftist ideologues are like termites. Even the nicest, safest places can become infested with them.

Leftists have already infested places like San Fransicko, Nuh Yoik, El Lay, etc. Now, they are after places like Katy, Texas, where people move thinking they’re safe from such vermin.

And like termites, you can eradicate one colony, but once you turn away, they will infiltrate your home once again. Only good parenting and an immediate and direct response from said parents will protect your kids.

  6. This sounds a little screwy to me. The articles shown didn’t mention the teachers side of this (although it may have been a no comment as it’s under investigation) and kids are sure as hell known to exaggerate, sometimes more then just a little in order to either get attention or shift blame. In that whole class not one kid had a cell phone to record this confrontation? Doesn’t sound like a lot of other kids came out to confirm her story and finally this is Texas which has it’s pockets of left wingnuts but if a child starts to cry in class over something like being told the object of their faith doesn’t exist not even a lefty would step over the line this much if only because they know it’s probably their job. I’m not saying it didn’t happen I’m saying let’s hear a little more before taking a stand. I’d rather we didn’t turn into those progs that believe every BS story published (Trayvon the good kid, the Ferguson Gentle Giant, the Muslim boy clockmaker etc etc etc).

  8. But the progressives insist on the collective. The district, the school and everyone in administration hired the teacher. They are responsible and need to be brought low for it. Public education, on the whole, should be suspended.

  9. I can’t thumbs up your comment enough, sir!
With less demands on the personal responsibilities of parents via over reach governmental programs, how do we make this so?
Only with the spirit. All we’ve got man.
