Great bunch of guys. It’s a testament to their character that one of them hasn’t beat Jane Fonda to death.

Salute to all those that served in Southeast Asia. You are owed so much. Thank you!!!

so glad that those that sacrificed so much are finally getting a National day of recognition … better late than never … Salute!

And regardless of the conventional wisdom, we know that you won the war. The democrats in congress primarily and Gerald Ford, too, ultimately gave up and let the communists have Vietnam, but the American military forces overwhelming won the war as they always have.

Thank you all for your service.

They never say it themselves so I will. To all the men and women who served there, you are Americas greatest. God bless you all. You deserve more than we give you.
13
I was in from 1960 to 1964 but I never served in Vietnam.
God Bless all of you who did.

I’m sure that 43 to 50 year old Vietnamese human beings are celebrating Vietnam vet day. Oh, sorry, they were slaughtered when they were babies, by veterans.
Where’s my beer?

An yet Larry, they are welcomed here and allowed to grow and prosper.
I worked side by side with a Viet Minh, also worked with a South boy who had worked in the PX, Saigon.
We got along fine, they hated each others guts, funny how that worked out, eh?
We didn’t expect a parade, didn’t expect what we got either.
Thank you, I an honoured.

Thank you to all of the Vietnam Veterans who served our nation with honor. They were my instructors, supervisors, inspirations and comrades in arms.
Leave it to Larry the Libtard to muddle up, an otherwise dignified post.

I’m not trying to sell books, but it’s a good read. The book is from the eyes of an 18 year old Grunt in the Central Highlands 67-68.

@Larry The Liberal: Damn, Larry – just when I think you’re starting to mellow out and give up your troll-like ways, you regress and place your head in rectal defilade once again.
In Hollywood fantasies (aka “movies”), most U.S. soldiers in Vietnam are pot-smoking,
hooch-burning rapists and baby killers. Obviously those films have been your only source of information on the subject, and it really shows. However, it seems to be the only way you can get people to pay attention to you, so who am I to tell you to get a life?
Still kinda sad, though.

Every Nam Vet I ever met was a stand up guy and most of them have done more for vets and this country than little larry has ever done.
We laid one to rest late last year. A tireless and selfless man who is on my short heroes list.

I met a lot of Vietnam Vets in my military service. They were my mentors and friends. Some of the best people in my life.

BTW, I forgot to mention: Thanks for all the kind words, folks. They mean a lot.
