Lucky rabbit’s feet.

24 Comments on Vintage Easter Cards That I Don’t Quite Understand

  1. My 6th grade teacher, who was an albino, and she was blind. She walked around with a magnifying glass, everyone loved her. Well, throughout the years, her students would giver her a rabbits foot. She had a collection I swear weighed 15#. This was in the 1950’s, so we got away with it. IIRC, Woolworth’s use to sell rabbits feet. My days of innocence.

  2. Most of those enslaved by religion as with christianity (Eprhaim) and rabbinic judaism (Judah), will not be able to receive or understand what all of this means. Both have been so inculcated into man made doctrines and words filled with ‘ear tickling’ that they are just unable to let go.

But of an surety, you will understand perfectly during the time of Jacob’s trouble, the trial which is to come upon the whole world.

Isa 59:17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.

Deuteronomy 6:25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before יהוה our Elohim, as he hath commanded us.

Deuteronomy 4:8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

Ps 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
31 The law of his Elohim is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
33 YHWH will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
34 Wait on יהוה, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

Psalms 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my Elohim: yea, thy TORAH is within my heart

Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Isa 42:19 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as יהוה’s servant?
20 Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.
21 YHWH is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.
23 Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?

Jer 16:19 O יהוה, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

Isa 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith יהוה; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith יהוה, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.
31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith יהוה, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.
32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith יהוה, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith יהוה.
33 And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of יהוה? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith יהוה.
34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of יהוה, I will even punish that man and his house.
35 Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath יהוה answered? and, What hath יהוה spoken?
36 And the burden of יהוה shall ye mention no more: for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living Elohim, of יהוה of hosts our Elohim.
37 Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath יהוה answered thee? and, What hath יהוה spoken?
    38 But since ye say, The burden of יהוה; therefore thus saith יהוה; Because ye say this word, The burden of יהוה, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of יהוה;
39 Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:
40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.

Ezek 22:23 And the word of יהוה came unto me, saying,
24 Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.
25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.
26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my Sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.
27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.
28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Sovereign יהוה, when יהוה hath not spoken.

You better figure out who’s WILL it is that you and your religion are ‘doing’! Yahshua is speaking directly to religions like christianity in Matt 7, and other places. You need to know that YOU are Eprhaim (House of Israel, Northern Kingdom, The Prodigal Son). Read scripture from that stand point and you will have your eyes opened.

Psalms 40:8 I delight to do thy WILL, O my Elohim: yea, thy TORAH is within my heart

Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the TORAH, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, My Master, My Master, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the WILL of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, My master, my master, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work TORAHLESSNESS.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

  3. Is the first one the inspiration for the White Rabbit song?
Those babies sure can swing a hammer!
    Ya, I don’t get those.
But in 100 yrs people will be saying they don’t get a guy dressed as a girl on a beer can.

  4. Loco, what the hell was TCM thinking? A Star Is Born? getthefuckouttahere!!!

    Where was Ben Hur?

To answer your question, Life of Brian………OK, maybe not for Easter. Risen, The Robe, that’s all I can think of. Definitely not The Passion Of Christ, only once for me.

  5. What were those wabbits smoking in that first picture? Go ask Alice, she probably knows. I have a large, framed picture by Stuart Moskowitz of a couple of cartoon bunnies roller skating called the White Brothers that my wife and I bought before we were married from a local art dealer in the Spring of 1977. We bought it because it made us laugh and we wanted it because of our future kids. That picture has become a collector’s item along with some of Stuart Moskowitz’s other whimsical paintings which we also bought when we were young for our kids. And my kids love them and so do my grandkids, they wonder how (and why) we were so cool once upon a time when we bought those paintings.
