What exactly IS a “suspicious gun purchase”? How will they know the difference between a “suspicious” purchase and a “normal” purchase? Or will they just be tracking ALL gun-related purchases?

The answer? Using an ATM machine, nowhere near where you are going to purchase a gun or even ammo. Heck, don’t even use a credit card at the range. Pay cash. OR, perhaps buy gift cards using cash (since I don’t think they can be traced).

If you purchase a weapon in the balance of the United States you fill out form 4473 and the Feds go through your shorts. In California we use the DROS ( Dealer Record Of Sale) system and CalDoj goes through our shorts. The point is, they already know. Unless you’re purchasing a gun off the street the feds pretty much know what’s in your gun safe. And they can easily get the combo. Just ask Liberty Safes. Here’s what they’re looking for. Ammo purchases that don’t match up with guns owned. In other words, if you’re buying 45 acp and have nothing to shove it thru, that’s a major concern to them and your name should be on a list. That’s their deal, they are scared shitless of “Ghost Guns” and unregistered weapons. So as far as purchasing a firearm, they already know.Unless you’re picking up a hot one from LeRoy down the street. Ammo sales are what they’re gleaning. Pay cash for all ammo sales. And be sure and wear a COVID mask while in the store.
