My neighbor moved a couple years ago, he grew the reddest tomatoes you’ve ever seen. I asked him one day how he manages to get the tomatoes so red before they start to rot or split, and so early in the season. He said, “Simple. Every morning before I dress, I go in the garden with my robe on and flash the tomatoes and they blush!”
A lady moved into the house and I saw her watering the garden. In talking, she mentioned that there are plenty of tomatoes on the vine, but are all green – Not a single red one. So I told her the story about the previous neighbor flashing the tomatoes.
A couple weeks go by and I caught her again in the garden. Jokingly, I asked her if she tried flashing the tomatoes. She says, “I did actually, figured I had nothing to lose. It doesn’t work for me, but the cucumbers are magnificent!”
I remember during the Olympics that whenever they did a feature on a Soviet athlete, that athlete always had a car. It always showed the athlete driving the car to practice , even if practice was a block away.
