@Thirdtwin: Why do you see 2-3 employees at the self-checkout while there’s empty lines with no cashiers. It’s easy to steal at WalMart especially if you have 2-3 family members helping you. I see carts loaded with merchandise right outside the checkout line, people got caught and decided if it wasn’t free they won’t buy it. Alarms went off at our Super WalMart – and people made a mad dash for their cars along with the carts they had filled in front of them. I really don’t think there’s a foolproof way to stop shoplifters. Heck even Chris Hanson “To Catch a Predator” fame was caught shoplifting – tough times.

Speaking of Walmart, I was there on Friday, and I’ve never seen so many morbidly obese, middle aged white women, covered with tattoos. Is this a Walmart thing, a west coast thing, or is it everywhere?

One of the more notable things about small-town tx: HEB & WM are the only games in town.
If you want to shop where smiling, happy people who average $2.00 more an hour work, shop at HEB.
Always remember; WalMart employees are surly just from working at WalMart, I presume, so let the miscreant shopper beware.

When they have no fear of repercussions they tend to do whatever they want.
So what if the employee loses his job it’s not like there’s not 10 million other jobs out there.
Never going to Walmart without a spare mag. Better yet try to avoid it.

Employee will have legal repercussions besides losing the job. Dude was walking way. It wasn’t self defense any more at that point.

Walmart failed to protect their employee from an assault. It happened on the clock, on their property. Walmart is on the hook for the whole thing. He will be jobless but will be paid well.

Contents of his cart seem unusual, nothing bagged, appears to be loaded with clothing. How many people buy an entire cart full of clothes at one time. Suspecting this guy was a shoplifter.
