Here’s the final product they ended up making. This horrible piece of crapcake-

If this was done by a baker I am ready to be their regional manager this afternoon.

Macon –

Walmart is apologizing for refusing to make a police officer’s retirement cake last week after an employee told the cop’s daughter that her “thin blue line” cake design might be considered racist.

… one of the employees at the bakery balked at the common police officer emblem, telling the woman “the design could be perceived as racist and nobody feels comfortable decorating the cake,” she recounted to Starnes. When she asked for a simpler cake, with just one blue line on a chocolate background, the employee said she didn’t “feel comfortable” with that design either.

“I asked her, ‘Is there something wrong with cops?’” the woman recalled, according to Starnes.

The employee again refused to make the cake.

After the post went viral, the Walmart manager met with the daughter again to apologize, Wilkes wrote Saturday. The manager offered a gift card, additional items for the party and to make the cake that the daughter had requested.

But Wilkes said the gesture appeared to be a response to public pressure rather than true atonement.

  1. The cake is black and they refused to make it? Walmart is racist.

    1. Walmart pastry is crap. I’ve purchased it, I’ve tried it, I said it.

    2. I know sometimes Wallyworld is convenient and sometimes the pricing is cheaper (Even though quality lacks) but if it’s important to you, throw in the extra $25 and go to an actual bakery to have that done correctly. They still exist because of the half-assed bakery services found at the big box stores. They will be glad to see you. (I’ve worked at a bakery and I have the scars to prove it. lol)

    3. Bake your own 2 layers, buy frosting, take yourself to HobbyLobby (or other craft store) and buy the food color dye and go to town!

I’m not saying to boycott Walmart- But when you rely on walmart for everything fucking thing you need, they know it and you will be treated the way THEY want to treat you and not as how you should be treated as a customer. Kinda like how the gubmint treats the welfare zombies.

  2. MJA – Well said! I too try to keep my purchases to locally owned or regionally owned. I buy at Winn Dixie and Rouses whenever possible.

Out of desperation I once went to a Whole Foods to buy ice for an upcoming fishing trip. All I got from the longhaired filthy hippy at the service desk was “Like wow man. We don’t sell ice here.” There were a couple peeps in lin ebehind me but I couldnt resist asking if the lack of ice was due to their not being able to source ice that was Free Range, Fair Trade, GenMod-free, gluten free, organic and biodegradable. Both folks behind me burst out laughing and I got the glaring of a lifetime from the filthy hippie.

  3. ‘ … her “thin blue line” cake design might be considered racist.’

And “BLACK Lives Matters” is not racist?? It is specific to ONE RACE ONLY.

Don’t make me wish a cop would off your racist ass.
