6. A little O/T but yesterday I called the flag store in Nolackaloonies, MT, to see if they had any Betsy Ross flags. The answer? “No! I wish I still did. I’ve been getting lots of calls. I’m completely sold out and the maker can’t get me any for at least a couple weeks! At least I’ll have some for next year.” So, the nike-krapperdick gambit backfired even here in Nolackaloonies.

   As long as the graphic isn’t of a full flag itself (i.e. moreso using “stars” and “stripes” in an abstract design), it’s NOT against Flag Etiquette.

14. I’m in the shithouse with the old lady because I didn’t put her bunting up on my shop.

    To my credit. I need to find a better way to secure said bunting.

15. Had a friend who would paint awesome stuff on Chucks, sold them for $300.
    I told her it was cheap for the quality, buy old wood chairs at garage sales and paint the seat, background up the slats.
    One 4th, she painted a waving US flag on the side of her shed.
    Well, she outlined it and we helped with the fill in, it was amazing.

16. You know these shoes will become available at some point.
    I suggest we all buy a pair, cut the Betsy Ross flag off them and mail their crappy shoes back to them.
    Because the Betsy Ross Flag is the only thing on those shoes worth having.
