Author Geoff Shepard, who worked on Nixon’s Watergate defense team, has gone into the archives of the key players who prosecuted the cases and accuses them of “judical and prosecutorial abuse in the Watergate trials.”
He claims to have unearthed evidence that the prosecutors, Elliot Richardson and Archibald Cox, coordinated with Judge John Sirica as well as with judges on the D.C. Court of Appeals to make sure Nixon and the other Watergate defendants couldn’t escape the charges.
If you’re interested in how the Democrats may have stacked the deck against the Watergate defendants, you may want to read Shepard’s book “The Real Watergate Scandal.”
A blurb from Amazon.com:
“Watergate was a coup d’état that overturned the largest landslide in American history and destroyed a president who had humiliated the liberal establishment. Geoff Shepard’s investigative work has unearthed buried elements of the plot that brought down the thirty-seventh president.” —PATRICK J. BUCHANAN
I found the piece written by Renata Adler on Judge John Sirica that details what a loser and criminal he and his family were.
Yes, he was railroaded. I also think the press tore his name apart and made him a laughing stock. If you run the press you run the country.
Hillary wanted Nixon to face trial without an attorney. Turn about is fair play.
IMHO, the real crime committed by Nixon was the establishment of the EPA — the ultimate overreaching, tyrannical, freedom-stifling, prosperity-killing, bureaucratic nightmare!
I agree. I also hate the DEM!!!!
I didn’t know that.
It proves what a miserable grasp of the Constitution she has.
Completly unshackling us from gold was a bigger crime. Gave the central bankers free rein and allows congress to spend as much fiat as they please.
Lived through that era while stationed at Andrews AFB. Looking back, I have no regrets about voting for him in each of the elections in which I could. Also, looking back at the Nixon and Kennedy race, ( I was still in Jr HS and couldn’t vote for him then), he was a saint compared to Al Gore as he could have legitimately challenged the stolen votes in Cook County.
There are still idiots out there who insist he was impeached and Bill Clinton wasn’t. True, he was close to being charged before resigning, but was never impeached.
