For the last few days, a story has been making its rounds across a multitude of corporate media and leftist outlets. The gist of the story is that a 10-year-old rape victim in Ohio was denied an abortion because she was three days late, so she had to go to Indiana to have the preborn baby killed. The story came out shortly after Roe v Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court and has been fodder for leftist media ever since.
It is extremely important that we give people the benefit of the doubt in such sensitive circumstances such as child rape. With that said, there are several aspects of this story that simply do not pass the smell test, most notably the person who selectively released the information. Dr. Caitlin Bernard is as hardcore of an anti-life activist as there is in America.
I wouldn’t put it past the evil bastards to actually rape a 10 year old to make their point.

…Well, Joe does it every day, and abortion clinics are all ABOUT protecting child rapists while getting rid of the evidence of their rape, so it really wouldn’t be hard to produce a Democrat child rape pregnancy for this purpose.
Probably pretty much a standard practice for Democrats at this point.

The story does not make sense – the child was 3 days late in getting an abortion for a pregnancy caused by child rape? Were the parents just sitting around for a couple of months wondering if a 10 year old should have the baby? Most states permit abortions in the case of rape or incest, and this story just doesn’t pass the smell test.
However, let’s assume that the story is true. In a nation of 300 million people, I can probably find a hard luck story for just about any tragedy or unfortunate circumstance you can imagine. But activists look hard for these anomalies and trot them out to support their position; and the fact remains that the overwhelming number of abortions are performed as a method of birth control. For every 10 year old child who was raped and denied an abortion there are several hundred thousand (or more) abortions performed because abortion is used as a birth control method.
Finally, the abortion activists aren’t complaining about whether or not legal abortions are available – they are – but are instead bemoaning the fact that legal abortions are not conveniently available in some states. If a woman (whatever that is) in Mississippi wants to terminate a pregnancy, all she has to do is travel a few hundred miles north to Illinois. Or perhaps over to Louisiana (Lousiana?). California, Illinois and New York will always have very liberal abortion laws.
Liberals lie about everything. No need to wonder.

I wondered about this myself. The story was very light on details. Was she raped? Was it incest?? Who knows — it’s never explained, which you think would be important.
Heatsync, when a liberal tells a story of a heart breakng tragedy that cries out for legislation to fix it, no details are necessary because no details exist. We’re supposed to accept it, at face value and do whatever the storyteller demands done.

It’s a fucked up situation when you need to have a brief discussion with the Squad captain as to whether your rape patient should go to General hospital to have access to abortificants and other evidence collection and medical expertise for her rape, or go to the children’s hospital ER because of her age and her diminutive body that the big people’s hospital doesn’t typically handle.
Especially if you can’t ask the kid because she’s a minor who’s also out of her mind with fear and pain because of betrayal and bruising and bleeding from her torn perineum,
And you can’t ask the parent because he’s her rapist.
