Was the Awan plea deal a smart strategic move by Sessions?

It’s difficult for me to give any credit to Sessions. He’s been disappointing so far in his tenure.

This thread seems to think the plea deal was simply a way to get a trial for Awan outside of the swamp.

Hopefully.

  1. Yeah Sessions has another ingenious plan to get these criminals. The question remains when is he getting off his wrinkly ass and pulling the trigger?
We’re waiting for one flicker of hope that he’s actually going to do something and we’re nearing two years along.

  2. I am getting tired of hearing about 3-D 4-D and 5-D chess mneuvers by Trump and Sessions. I think Jeff sessions is just a tired old and worthless attorney General. Probably trump’s worst mistake that hes ever made.

  3. ImperatorRex and rising_serpant are among the several interesting contributors on Twitter. I’m not as patient as some of those guys. I understand the need for the right timing, and dropping a bomb on the swamp in sept/oct sounds great but I’m of the frame of mind that the swamp needs to be decimated by then, and absolutely buried by the mid-terms. I’m ready to see some real action instead of speculating on whether or not one action or another is a master stroke of strategy.

Give Sessions a chance… he’s digging into & operating in, a rigged bureaucracy. He’s not stupid, there are things afoot that we do not know. Just as Trump could pull some strings right now – he’s not. Neither is Sessions. Be patient… The tangled web that was weaved was explicitly structured to deceive… It WILL come out

  5. Give me just one indication that Session’s is about to lower the boom…and don’t cite that 20,000 indictment bullshit because I researched that and it’s a complete exaggeration at best.

  6. Mark this 4th as MY Independence Day. Why do I say that? Follow me here….

Yesterday when Awanistan was released from ever facing charges (IRex, he’s a great cheerleader, but I’m with Barnes on the legal decision), I decided to apply the 1st Step of “accepting the things I cannot change, changing the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference”.

McCabe, Comey, Clapper, Brennan….all the way to the WH. Why do you think they’re so brazenly self assured in deeds and words?

Bottom line, Trump will continue to fight and do what he can economically with trade, militarily, foreign relations and regs. I imagine he’s aware the sh*t is so deep, he’s smart enough to know he’ll never be able to clean house, there’s just too many connected ppl involved in one way or another in too many shady dealings.

Also, he (and all of us) should understand that if the truth about one dirty deed comes out, that thread will unravel another and another until the citizenry wouldn’t be able to handle the extent we’ve been lied to, sold out to foreign govts, our allies are our enemies, our enemies our allies. I’m talking decades and decades of sh*t storms.

We all know the crazy things we used to consider conspiracies, no longer seem like conspiracies, but have just enough info to frighten us, yet never proven or resolved.

So I decided for my own sanity and peace of mind, I’m just gonna set it on cruise control, support my President for the good things he’s able to get done, count my blessings I lived long enough to have a President who loves and cares about America as much as I do, understanding where we would all be had HRC won on 11/8/16.

Some ppl may view this as surrendering, but again, all the knowledge, anger, expectations, anger, buildup, anger, battling from a keyboard, anger, isn’t effecting a thing…. except making me angry! Did I mention that?!

So peace of mind, gratitude that I still live in the best country on earth, and support my fellow likeminded citizens and President Trump when and where I can.

If I’m wrong about Sessions and swamp draining, I’ll be the first one to scream Hallelujah I WAS WRONG!

    Happy 4th y’all 🇺🇸🇺🇸😂

  7. Yup, there are too many in DC still wearing that smug look on their faces for me to believe they’re worried.
I guess we should be happy for what we got and anything beyond that will be a super plus.
