Honestly, to be fair we all wanted US out of Afghanistan, and Trump had plans to leave in 2021. We have known for nearly 2 decades that we can’t maintain democracy in this tribal nation, one of only 2 in the world that still has polio. The exit was an absolute travesty, of course, leaving people behind who should have been evacuated, troops killed during the evacuation, so much equipment left for the Taliban to use. But the reality is that USA isn’t strong enough to impose its will on the entire world, and for now there are bad places and we can’t do much about it unless we want to expend inordinate resources and American lives. So blame Biden regime for the poor exit, but recognize that Taliban rule was inevitable unless we want to keep spending resources there year after year.
Besides, now that we aren’t sending resources there we can just give it all to Zelensky.
