WATCH: Shots FIRED In D.C. – It Was Broad Daylight…

It’s getting worseโ€ฆ

Brian Robinson Jr., rookie running back for the Washington Commanders (formerly the Redskins) NFL football team, was shot and wounded in a carjacking attempt in the revitalized H Street corridor in Northeast Washington, D.C. late Sunday afternoon.

It was an attempted car-jacking in BROAD DAYLIGHT.

D.C. is a swamp. The whole rotten place needs to be drained.

  1. Drained? No. Bulldozed, tilled over, salted, burnt, and then nuked. Maybe guide an asteroid in after for good measure if it’s not too much trouble. If we can’t do that, can we maybe compromise and build a wall around it, collapse the bridges in and make it a prison a la Escape from NY?

  2. They can tell the suspects were likely teenagers, but no other traits that would help in identification? We’re not allowed to say what sex they he she it shem identifies as and naming the race would be racist.

  3. @ wonky honky,
I spent a number of years working in dc. Two of which were midnights working in the underground for the phone factory. There were gunshots nearly every night/morning. And trust me, I never witnessed a honky thug there.

  4. I moved to a new neighborhood away from the county I lived in for 50 years because it was getting a little too DC. I sometimes don’t like it because I have to drive a minimum of 80 miles every day, and my 1 year old car already has 45,000 miles on it.

Then today, I read an article about my old neighborhood where 1 block from my former house at 2 AM the cops were breaking up a huge POC fight in the street when they heard unrelated gunshots from the gas station I used to go to, and found 2 more shot there. Meanwhile, about a mile down the same street in the neighborhood I used to grocery shop in, a guy was shot dead there on the same night.

While at my current house, I look at my lawn where I have no sidewalk for the local urchins to break beer bottles on from the local bar, no local bar and no urchins here even if I DID have a sidewalk, the cars in my driveway that have never been shot up once unlike in my old neighborhood, and sit there surrounded by armed neighbors who will help me pull my riding mower out of my creek or grab a chainsaw to help me cut a fallen dead tree up so my chickens can’t get trapped in it, and know that if I leave my garage door up that nothing worse will get in there than a toad frog or two hunting skeeters, which isn’t too bad even if they DO get so scared they pee in my hand when I remove them.

…suddenly, that 80 miles doesn’t seem like so much.
