“I want to be a great man. I just don’t know who I am.”
Breitbart: Those are the words of Sen. Ted Kennedy in the first trailer for Chappaquiddick, the drama about the infamous 1969 car accident on Chappaquiddick Island released by Entertainment Studios Motion Pictures Wednesday.
Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty) plays the then-37-year-old Kennedy while Kate Mara (House of Cards) plays Mary Jo Kopechne, the 28-year-old former secretary of Robert Kennedy who was killed when the senator accidentally drove his car off of Dike Bridge on the Massachusetts island on the night of July 18, 1969. watch it here
They shoulda named it: The Chappaquid Dick
Yeah. But Trump says mean things
This’ll run up the bar tab at the local Kennedy watering hole. Ha
Was Ted the Swimmers girlfriend Mary Jo pregnant ?
The Lion of the Senate?
Would have been a good title I think
Just axin she said Ted I’m pregnant what are we going to do? He said we will cross that bridge when we come to it!
Cowardess to make a movie about the Kennedy’s when they’re all dead and no longer relevant, but better late than never I suppose,
Love, Mary Jo
I guess this was supposed to be released during Madam President’s first year, with no #metoo distractions, and the unspoken message of “See? Bill wasn’t so bad. He never killed any of them.” Also to herald the passing of the dynasty from the Kennedys to the Clintons. Movies like this are not made on a whim.
@Frank…
“The Sea Lion of the Senate”, maybe?
At the 1:40 mark, “BASED ON THE UNTOLD TRUE STORY”.
Wait! What?
The family that alcohol abuse, graft, promiscuity and corruption built and the media turned it into Camelot.
All of the Kennedys, based upon their works, will find themselves in the Lake of Fire.
The trailer shows him trying to get her out the car.
Is there ANY reliable evidence that he even tried?
Maybe that should be the “lyin” of the Senate.
The Lyin Drunk of the Senate – FIFYall
A movie about Ted’s tragedy. Actually Mary Jo is the one that suffered loss.
“I miss that good ol’ Delta 88 Oldsmobile.”
— Ted Kennedy 1969
It’s a fictionak movie; I can tell because ol’ Dead Ted is portrayed as possessing a rudimentary conscience and a tinge of regret.
Ooops. Fictional! I really can spell.
How long before Kennedy and “Kopechne” lawsuits to shut it down?
I’m not watching lies and trash. I had enough of that family when they were alive.
I find it hard to have any sympathy for anyone who would have anything to do with these Kennedy cretins.
The Kennedy family. Rotten to the core.
