7. Here in the middle of everywhere ribeye steaks are $18 a pound, a 6 pack of Nathan’s hot dogs are almost$8. Pork ribs are almost $5 a pound, when last year the were less then $2 a pound

   Wheat harvest is in full swing. Diesel is 50% higher and wheat prices are high so the farmers are at least making a bit of cash. Bread and pasta are already spiking. Hay for dairy cattle is high so that should show up in higher prices for milk, cheese and other milk products…..ALL of this links back to shutting down one petroleum pipeline…..These fuckers are insane….

14. Beachmom, that’s why now that we don’t raise cattle anymore I buy from local ranchers.
    Often it’s cheaper than the grocery store anyway. For instance I bought 90/10 ground beef the other day for $3/lb, saw a sign in front of the grocery store today that said 80/20 ground beef was on sale for $3.69/lb.

    I paid $5.50/lb for brisket and it’s on sale at the grocery store for $5.75/lb.
