Update: Phil Mickelsom shoots a 63 and is HALVED by Sergio Garcia. I have never seen this many birdies in a Ryder Cup. It could be a record.
~~~~~~~~
Patrick Reed (US) is going head to head with Rory McIlroy at Hazeltine in Minnesota. Through the first 8 holes Reed and Mcilroy are all square, but I cannot even add up the birdies and eagles they are throwing at one another.
Mcilroy will make a putt and taunt the crowd, and then Reed will top him. Reed will make a putt and fire up the crowd with theatrics and then Mcilroy will answer.
I’ve never seen scoring like this… ever.
They both might shoot 62 or better.
You might be right. This is good golf and better entertainment. USA….USA!
= and no commercials.
They cooled off on the back nine. Might end in a half, both having birdie chances on 18.
Reed made his, ending it before McIlroy had a chance to putt.
Michelson still has game. Spieth seems to have lost his mojo.
Not enough diversity in golf.
Switch to NFL where 85% are diverse black folk.
Seriously, I gave up on football because of douchiness.
Go Phil! Go USA!
Horses?
I loved this match. Gritty, gutsy and it was individual perseverance that determined the outcome. And in the end USA wins the match.
Patrick Reed is a stud.
I still haven’t figured out what a truck rental company has to do with golf.
BFH FYI. Spook Rock beat Rotella today to retain The Challenge Cup. 14 pts to 11 pts. Sixteen year old Alex Kyraciu, son of Airmont Diner Dino, fired a 67. The kid is fantastic. And a real gentleman. I think the course record is 65 by Mike Smidth. Also, Alex won the Club Championship this year, by one stroke, over Mike, on the 18th hole. Now if that don’t bring tears to your eyes, you’ve turned into salt. I know you have that photo of your Challenge Cup team over your bed. Also today, I won $86 in Quick Draw. So that’s it. A great day. Well done USA and well done Alex.
Never been a bigger choker than lefty. If it’s left to him we lose. Watch and see.
