4. My mother’s uncle was one of those crazy Indians that worked High Steel back then and worked on that job. I think I still have some old photos with him in them..I had some of his tools like drift pins that I gave away to my great nephew before leaving Oregon.

7. At 14:44 – watch the guy at the mini-furnace pick up a glowing hot rivet and toss it to one of the riveters who catches it in a pail…..30+ stories up in the air.

13. Back in 1997/1998 Ghost did a masters program at Columbia. The big project was a historical structure and Ghost was give the Empire State Building!!!! Wish he could tell you all about it. We had loads of fun with this study. Great building. Well, after 2 months he was so disillusioned with Columbia he decided it wasn’t what he wanted. BUT we both learned a lot about the building and what true hard workers will do to complete the project.

    Even the men in the crowds watching it all were dressed well and wearing nice hats. Much better than today.

17. They definitely had balls of steel to build the Empire State Bldg. Fascinating video and I love the music, I’m with Brad I don’t like heights either.
