Didn’t some wealthy guy’s house in Hawaii get infested with at least 4 cockroaches every December for the last 8 years?
Obama shook off his sport jacket in the long term parking.
When I lived there, if you turned on a light in the yard at night, it moved. The cockaroaches live under the fallout from the trees and bushes.
Even worse are the biting 12″ long centipedes that are poisonous. They live in the same fallout.
Aloha brah!😜
@Reboot – I had the same experience when I lived there. You couldn’t avoid the cockroaches. And I had one of those centipedes on my white living room carpet one day. I thought it was a snake. Yuck. Not to mention the huge cane spiders. I couldn’t wait to get off of that rock.
Well, I’ll pile on–when we lived there our house was infested with sewer rats. You would think that wouldn’t be a problem with all the feral cats and don’t get me started on the mongoose and the year round mosquitos! That and the utter contempt of the haole by the “natives” made it all paradise living!
Ya, the native’s hate us but not enough to ween themselves off the greenbacks.
The big Island is covered with them.
If you camp there zip your tent
Classy Cockroaches?
Toyotas and Fords immune?
Don’t park near that crazy judge who keeps on challenging the travel ban.
That crazy judge has a bit of cockroach in him!
Mmmm – – good eatin’!
Hawaii has a big time homeless problem too, they may as well be cockroaches. They’re just like here, sleeping under overpasses, in parks, and they crap and pee wherever they like – just like cockroaches.
I had no idea until I saw an episode of Dog The Bounty Hunter what a cesspool Hawaii was! No thanks, Brah!
Been there, hated it.
Just like a cruise, you cannot get away from the disagreeable people.
Give me a riverside campsite, my dog and a warm gun any day.
That’s funny, one would think that all the fucking Gecko’s everywhere would eat the roaches….must be liberal geckos…
I’ll put big black evil-smelling Florida Palmetto Palm Waterbug cockroaches up against any insects anywhere.
Nasty Jurassic things. The ancient fossils were up to 6 feet long.
They stink the way Leftists think.
Oily black shells. Hard to kill and a reeking green-yellow slimey paste when you crush them.
They should be the new symbol of the DNC.
This wouldn’t have happened if McGarrett, Dano and Chin Ho were still on the job.
Damn. With all the Hawaiian horror stories of pests, I think I could have a working vacation and come home with more money than when I left.
Sounds like Hawaii could be an “Ultimate Pest Control Cage Match”
One bug guy goes in with whatever materials he thinks he needs. Does he even make it back out alive? Tune in next week to see where all the roaches carried him off to at the end of episode 1 while he was reloading.
These stories of Hawaii bugs make my ultra dislike of wood ticks a nursery rhyme.
I think I’ll scratch Hawaii off my bucket list.
@CC, nope, liberal roaches, distasteful.
@ Dadof4
That was funny.
Birdie,
They still are in the new Hawaii Five O on CBS.
Used to be on t-shirts there;
“Ninja gecko vs sumo cockroach
Matches nightly in your living room”
I had bananas hanging on one of those hanger things and came down one morning and the rats ate the bananas and left the peels hanging! They dragged a 5 pound bag of dog food out of a cabinet and scattered all over the kitchen. They trapped 13 of those suckers. Other houses had to be tented for termites. It was not my favorite place to live.
UGH! With each comment, my mouth tastes more and more sour and my face became more and more scrunched up.
I HATE BUGS, ESPECIALLY FILTHY ROACHES!!!
The Philippines has big bugs also, some of the biggest bugs I ever saw in my life when I was there in the mid 70’s while in the Navy. That’s what you get in a very hot, humid tropical setting. I swear some of the bugs were as large as Buicks, not something for the faint of heart.
The largest population of roaches are the german roaches, they are
too large for the geckos to eat.
