I just sent the outer two portraits of Ivan and Asher to Claudia to go along with the Zoe portrait (in the middle) that I did awhile back.

Asher moved with me from Michigan to Minnesota decades ago. Fur captured his innocence (he was just 1 1/2 year old in that picture) but the eyes also betray his wild side. He would do his cracker-kat routine – wildly attacking his toys and racing around the house until he was pooped!
Ivan, what can I tell you? Fur must have been channeling Ivan when he painted because that is exactly what he looked like when he would try to talk to me. He would stare at me, puff out his lips and say, “Purrrrttt”. I’d answer and we would talk like that for a few minutes.
I have these on the wall above me now as I type. I look up and smile.
