What About the FEE GAP? – IOTW Report

What About the FEE GAP?

We hear about the mythic wage gap all the time, but there is a fee gap that is practiced the world over and seems to be an excepted practice-

Ladies drink free/ladies enter free.

It’s a sales gimmick to get guys to migrate to a certain bar, secure that it won’t simply be a sausage-fest. But this isn’t “unfair”?Β This isn’t sexist?

Now a Scottish singer is charging half price for women to come see him croon in Las Vegas, (or is he charging double for men? It depends on whether he’s trying to punish the men or give a leg up to the women.)

I knew who this guy was, Calvin Harris, and I wanted to see him for half price, I’d tell the ticket sales office that I IDENTIFY AS Β A WOMAN. Give me the 1/2 price tickets, bitches!

  1. Little known fact that has little to do with the topic, except topic included Scotsman and bars:

Scotsmen walk about 900 miles each year.
A Scotsman drinks around 45 gallons of Whisky a year.
Scotsmen get about 20 Miles Per Gallon

  2. Rush opened his show today with a good line. Obama is cutting off funding for North Carolina, so Pat Mcrory should just tell Obama we no longer identify as North Carolina.

    Now give us our money!

  3. 2 Thursday’s a month are Ladies night at the range 1/2 price. Every Monday is Seniors Day, discount. Friday’s are date night, 1/2 price. Not the place to self-identify as something else.

I don’t know if this is true in other places but the bars around here that have ladies night use it as an opportunity to serve watered down rot gut made yesterday booze and Thunder Chicken.

  4. Most dating websites also offer women a discounted price for membership. The local gun range offers free range time for women one day a week, normally $15/hr, there is no “Men’s night”, (although a local laundromat offers discounted laundering rates for both men and women on different days).
As a low-income single father years ago, I virtually stopped dating because I was told by women friends I was still expected to pay for dinner, show, transportation, and cover my date’s babysitting expenses as well. I simply couldn’t afford it.

Life is unfair. Deal with it.
