  1. Everyday that I wake up there are 100 people waiting to kick me…

I just choose not to join their team.

I may come home beaten, bruised, muddy, and bloddy… Still I refuse to join the other side and kick me…

If I mess up, I forgive myself and move on…

Regrets only turn into self induced kicks that I do not deserve today.

  2. Groucho, your post reminds me of one of my fav poems:

    Invictus

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
    For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
    Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
    William Ernest Henley

  3. Feel good bullshit. You can’t compare an inanimate object (20-dollar bill) to a human being who has a free will. Truth is there are evil people in the world whose worth is in the negative – – WAY in the negative.

  4. I’m a complete zero..

Looking to the bible I read that my accomplishments are but dung…

Comparing myself to others (thinking I’m better) is just folly….

    Then of myself I’m just a worm…

Let no man think higher of himself than he ought. ..

And then I read, he who abases himself God will exalt…. but he that exalts himself God will grind to powder. .

I’m a zero… I don’t have to be something or anyone else that I’m not. . I just have to be me.

  5. I am grateful my self worth isn’t valued against other people and their beliefs. Like forcing others to follow stupid beliefs like climate change and socialism.

I’m also grateful for knowing the difference between debt issued by a government and tangible wealth that actually stores value.

  6. After listening to his other posts, it occurred to me that a southern twang can convey either clear common sense wisdom (this guy) or total moronic B.S. (James Carville or Cletus Spuckler of the Simpsons).
