Islamophobia: noun: the proper and smart belief that Muslims are perverts, murderers and are to be avoided at all costs! They especially should never be allowed to immigrate to any modern, decent or peace loving country.
The suffix “-phobia” has been co-opted by The Left, its meaning no be synonymous with an irrational, groundless fear. They are practicing “neologism” which is the inculcation of new, made-up words and phrases into language by using them in a certain context.
Homophobia (literally “fear of self” to be exact) is meant to make anyone who disagrees with the homosexual lifestyle and agenda seem like a fearful, illogical idiot. Islamophobia… more of the same.
Let’s turn it around on them. Whenever someone speaks of gun control or degrading the Second Amendment, call them what they are: Hoplophobic (hoplophobia – fear of guns). That obviously comes from the Greek word “hoplon” which was the fearful lance of the Greek hoplites.
They want to use words like a cudgel? Give it right back to them!!!
A few other useful terms: Christophobia, ethnomasochist, misandry, misandrist, anti-white, albophobia (fear of white people), and oikophobia (fear of one’s own culture and people).
While you’re grammatically correct that “hoplophobia” is the right word, it will never get THE MESSAGE across like someting more – ahem – pedestrian, something like GunQueer.
