  11. Ha! My fur girl, Ellie, does not recognize daylight saving time.
    She awakens whenever her bladder or the urge for attention beckons her.
    We are usually up well before the neighbor’s roosters.

  13. What extra hour I woke up at 430 AM (I’m an early riser) except my clocks say it’s really 3:30 AM now. The only advantage is the sun in now up around 5:30 AM or so but will set before 4:30 this afternoon. This is my least favorite time of the year when the days start getting and shorter and the Sun sets before 4 in the afternoon a month from now and then we creep slowly but surely minute by excruciating minute back to longer days at the Winter solstice. I also don’t like driving in the dark now that the days are shorter, the deer are still stupid and invisible and suicidal after dark and don’t care what time it is.

  18. My 18-yr old cat has FLEAS first time! I thought I’d economize when he went on insulin 2 yrs ago and all was well until last week. No more will I skimp on flea treatment. We got Bravecto 3-mo. tx right away and I’m cleaning and combing, have some Adams brand spray and powder for carpets. Anybody have advice? I’m using sticky lint rollers everywhere and vacuuming a lot.

    I have had good results with Catego brand topical. (This after Advantage caused a sore on my Cat.)
    A carpet treatment consisting of borax or similar non-toxic desiccant will interrupt flea life cycles.
