What Was Your Voting Experience Today?

I voted at 2:30pm and my township polling place was the busiest I’ve ever seen it in the 5 years I lived here! We have to show our ID and they scan it in to verify who we are.

They did have sharpies for us to use like last time, but I brought my own black ball point pen. Worked just fine.

In my little town of almost 8,000, I’ve only seen two Whitmer signs. I just hope all the smaller RED towns of Michigan will have enough voters to cancel the blue cities of Detroit and a few others. If you look at a map of Michigan, you see it as mostly red with just a few clusters of blue.

How was your experience?

  1. The Soviet of Washington is mail only, so ours were dropped into the ballot drop box last week. Showed on line as “accepted” this past weekend.

    I’ll take the lines….

  2. Waited about an hour at 8:00 am. I live in a predominantly conservative area, so there were no riff raft giving anyone a bad time.
Voted against the Irish Burrito for Governor of Texas.

  3. We had to wait a good while and the staff seemed surprised by the turnout and the machines went down once while my son was there but we had no issues but we voted in a liberal area some of the conservative areas were glitchy they said in the office

  4. Quiet but a positive attitude seemed to hang in the air.

In conservative South Central Pa we always vote knowing we have to somehow overcome Philadelphia/Pittsburgh shennagans including the black panther led over votes of a lot of precincts in Philly especially.

Additionally none of us want the embarrassment a Fester man victory might entail. My area usually goes about 70-30 republican and we bristle when people label us as living in a blue state.

  5. I voted just after noon here in Las Vegas.
It was steady business but no wait.
I told the lady I never received my mail-in ballot the state automatically sent out.
She said that “happens a lot.”
    WUT???
    For fucks sake!

Anyway, the vote machine says “Dominion” at the bottom of the screen.

It was a portrait mode setup of a huge 18″ ipad style touchpanel.
I looked at the rear connections and it had some networking USB port configuration.
The output of the touchscreen fed a unique adjacent printer.
You printout your votes that are viewed through a backlit screen that protects the printout from human access.
You can read the pages to confirm your vote.

I asked the woman about someone harvesting my mail-in and forging my signature and sending it in.
    She said it couldn’t happen.
    WHAT?
I said of course it could.
She then said that vote wouldn’t count.
I asked how they determined that?
    She had no clear answer.

I have very little confidence in Nevada having a fair election.
    I hope I am wrong…

Pretty good. I live and vote in the sticks now. There were only Republican poll workers handing out literature, and mostly farm folk inside on both sides of the tables…and they were CLOSELY checking IDs. Pretty busy at 1600 too, but the line moved quickly and ALL the machines worked.

Only bad things were having to tick the box for RINO DeWhine ONLY as the lesser of two evils (as long as the legislature remains Republican it can keep him in check), and I REALLY don’t trust the vote scanners, you can’t get even a receipt from them so who KNOWS if they actually read the paper ballot or not.

Other than that, MUCH better than when I used to live up the street from the People’s Republic of Cincinnati, on the bus line and destroyed by Section 8, where I got glared at from the time I arrived till the time I left because my White skin didn’t blend, and I was uncomfortable around people that hated me for my skin AND presumed politics in an environment where it would have been a felony to carry a gun. Plus, I was pissing in the wind anyway, I always got out voted on literally everything by people who wanted to help themselves to my hard-earned money.

One other thing I REALLY liked about voting is that for the first time I got to vote for Brad Wenstrup. THAT guy was a combat surgeon in Iraq and actual decorated war hero, who also saved Steve Scalise’s life under literal Democrat fire at the Congressional ballgame in 2017, so he never lost hos touch OR his courage, so it was an actual honor to be able to vote for him.

None of this matters of course since Democrats still get 2 months to wreck up the joint no matter what and Pedo remains the illegal president, but it was certainly night and day between city voting and country voting, and I do recommend the latter if you are currently doing the former.

  7. I voted at a little northern Michigan Township. There was a ton of people there, I went by two or three times today, and the parking lot was packed. I had previously been voting in Washington state, and you don’t have any personal feeling when you’re forced to do mail in ballots in Washington state. I felt great voting here. What a pleasure.

    7
  8. Our polling place was busy.
There seemed to be fewer poll workers this time and fewer voting booths than I have seen in the past.
My theory is, it was planned to frustrate voters and impede the whole process.
I’m still hoping Whitmer gets kicked out on her ass and that none of the proposals go through.

  9. I had to shoot my way in to cast my vote in Seattle as a R voter and had a shoot out to my truck after I cast my ballot, the left hates us and makes it hard to vote in this city.
Straight R down the line. If it is fair Murry is out.

    6
  10. All the Registrar of Voters personnel were rude–across the board.

I hate California’s current voting process. We USED to get ballots which were numbered—each ballot had a tear-off strip which had the same number on it, which was given to us before the ballot was submitted. We could then track that ballot and make sure it was counted. NOW there is no unique number on any ballots, either the mail-in ones or the “live”/in-person ones. Once you have submitted your ballot, there is no way of knowing whether it is counted or trashed.

I can’t wait to leave this state.

    7
  11. Brad–

How can they do that when there is no method of identification on the ballot? You think they actually save the envelopes, which is the only thing that has identification? Or do they wrote my name on the ballot before counting it?

    Unnumbered ballots are bullshit.

  12. Voted at about 2 pm today in rural Wisconsin. Turn out like a presidential election. The polling place in town was real busy as well. we’re a bellwether county and I believe the republican turn out is immense.

    2
  13. This is a small rural township – red, red county, red state except for urban areas. This is the 2nd busiest i have see the church. The busiest was for the Trump election. We went at 3:00 which was not a peak hour and it was still busy. A lot of working guys in their work trucks, older couples. One of the poll workers said it was very busy all day.

Showed ID, signed in, got ballot and everything we input was R except for the issues. Most voting machines were in use but we found 2 with no wait.
People looked determined. Some looked grim. Most were happy exiting the church.

  14. I’m in a small suburban district and I voted at 8:00 AM, 45 minutes after the polls opened up and my number was 275. Based on past midterms that is a high number for my district. Most voters in my area are Republican.

    2
  15. Went in the morning around 8:30, no one in front of us. Voted and left. No problems, electioneers were keeping their distance. Almost felt sorry for the Democrat who was far away from the entrance. my county is about 80+% Republican.

You can still check it thru the Registrar. We were forced to vote by mail in for several elections. As were many of our friends. If you’re rural, and need to use a mail in the people counting the ballots know odds are you are a conservative. Suddenly your signature does not match your registration card. REJECTED. In our county if you demand to vote in person they will facilitate that.
P.S. I seem to remember needing to use you SS # to find your registration.

  17. Brad–

They know that I TURNED IN in my ballot. That is not in dispute. But what happens to that ballot afterwards cannot be known by me, unlike in the past.

I asked about the “live ballots” at the Registrar of Voters. There is no unique identification on those either. Once they are submitted, there is NO way of knowing if your individual ballot got counted.

    All intentional.

    2
  18. It took me about 10 minutes to get in. Then I had to show picture ID which they scanned (yay!).

I had 88 people/measures to vote for. On top of that we’re a number of uncontested races where there people were uncontested and therefore considered elected. In total. Had 100 pages to go through.

When I was done I had to insert two pieces of paper that they gave me into the machine. Then I took them and insert them into a machine to have them recorded.

As I left I noticed the line was twice as long as it was when I got there.

While I have seen a number of Beto signs, I live in a conservative area.

How do they know where to mail your ballot? Voter registration card with address and signature. I’m not arguing the entire process isn’t a joke designed for fraud. I’m just of the opinion these people aren’t that smart and the fraud actually occurs during the counting.

  20. went out & gassed up the car. noticed that gas prices rose from $3.54.99/100 to $3.75.99/100 OVERNIGHT!! … oh, I get it, prices were held down until Election Day.

early voted last week … bigger line than I saw today

bought a case of Maker’s Mark Single Barrel … good barter material in the new Golden Age of the New World Disorder
… ’cause I ain’t seein’ the Great Red Tsunami being played out tonight
    (call me a cynic)

  21. My voting experience was good. I vote with my feet and my pocketbook. Had a good supper too.

Charcoal grilled prime rib from beef we raised here from a calf and butchered here on our farm in 2021.
Steak sauce we brewed and bottled here in 2020.
Premium blackberry wine we vinted and bottled here on the farm in 2016.
Baked potato and corn on the cob we grew in our garden this summer 2022.

  22. Voted at 9 am in downtown Chicago — Streeterville — the belly of the beast. Not many conservative republicans in my neighborhood. Polling place was pretty crowded. 2 precincts vote there 6 & 7. . Mine 7 was very light. 6 had long lines. Not sure why. They tried to give me a sharpie but I picked up one of the few ballpoints off the table. Used a sharpie in 2020 and it bled through and the machine told me I had an “over- vote” then. No problems with the ballpoint. I always hope but know JB the Hutt Pritzker will prevail. Illinois is screwed.

  23. Brad–

Of course they know where to mail my ballot. That has nothing to do with COUNTING it (or not counting it) after I submit it.

There is no unique identifying mark on the ballot. Once out of the envelope, it looks like everyone else’s unidentifiable ballot. QED, I cannot trace where mine ENDS UP after I vote <—THAT is the problem. If they don't like how I voted, what's to stop them from throwing it away, or exchanging it for another ballot with the votes they like? NOTHING.

Of course the fraud occurs during the counting. Unprovable fraud.

  24. MaryfromMarin

Yes there is. Your signature. Legit or not, that’s where they’ve tried to take the criteria. And that gives them all the leeway they need to cheat their butts off.
I’ll try and send you the link tomorrow. It was solid two years ago.

  25. Brad–

The signature is on the envelope, not the ballot. They can exchange the ballot inside the envelope if they want to—if they even bother keeping the envelope.

Yes, their receiving of the signed envelope proves THAT I voted. It does not prove HOW I voted. A numbered ballot for which I used to have a correspondingly numbered tag COULD prove how I voted. But those days are gone.

I think we’re arguing about somewhat different things, Brad. No matter—it’s a f***ed voting system here in CA and I eagerly look forward to leaving it behind.

  26. hit the line and got in at 6am when the poll opened. threw my ballot away because northern VA is occupied territory full of fucking commie locusts that invaded. my dream of tossing that corrupt retard Connolly out on his ass remains a dream. seems the other challengers have been squashed too. got to get out of this state. it’s lost.

    2
  27. Very busy. I live in a conservative city – Ronny 80% in ’84; GWB crushed with 41% in ’00 – ; conservatives vote on “Election” Day. Had to wait for a machine, GWBs’ Canucks do the “counting” . But, aside from the turnout, went well. Except for Bush’s DOMINION “counting”!

    1
  28. Dropped my mail in ballot at a voting center. I signed it in the presence of poll workers. When they said, “You dont have to do that” I replied “I should have to do that”

Then I asked, “Wanna see my ID?” they said, “No, not necessary” And I replied “It should be necessary” I had been an poll inspector for thirty and I can see the current set up is much leakier than the old set up. You can game it

And then our governor stood by with his thumb up his ass and allowed Katie Hobbs, the current Secretary of State to oversee the operation of the election. And damned if all kinds of problems in tabulation didnt start happening (especially in outlying areas) which forced lots of elderly white people to wait in lines for hours
But dont talk about voter suppression!!

    1
  29. Seriously, if those old people REALLY wanted to vote. they should have just sucked it up and risked joint pain or thrombosis in their legs or heart attacks by standing in a line for three hours!!

Hey, its not like requiring a black person to travel half a mile to the local welfare office to get an ID. Cause THAT’S Voter Suppression
